Day three was a blast I got to finally meet @dustyray and she was just the sweetest person. I stopped by the Work room and took some pics with the sweet new trophies and got to meet @helloross . Drag con day 1 part one and it was the best day ever getting to meet @sharonneedlespgh @thejinkx @willam @derrickbarry they were all what I hoped them to be. okay I need to say my piece on this so if you don’t want to read a bitter rant about how gross this fandom can be tl;dr people who are sending the threats need to just leave the fandom

so as everyone knows, there have been death threats going around just based on rumours of a tv show’s plot line. I’ve seen things saying it was chi chi, but I recently saw that it was morgan getting the threats because she apparently sends bendelacreme home. the fact that there are some people that don’t seem to have an issue with this actually sickens me to the point of being ashamed of being associated with this fandom at times. The people I encounter or haven’t got the chance to yet are some of the nicest people I’ve ever met and they make me so happy to be here, but how on earth do we jump from respectful fans, to the other end of the spectrum where threatening queens because they might send your fave home is okay? those people don’t deserve to be seen as fans of drag because the purpose of this culture is to spread a message of acceptance and love because we don’t find it in the heteronormative society we live in. since this is such a massive issue for us, where is the right to speak to people like that? the people that bust their asses to give us quality content and tour and do meet and greets, they break themselves for us and it’s disgusting how some people are treating them.

as anyone can tell by my url, I’m a trixie stan through and through but you don’t see me sending death threats to shangela because they had some drama or played the game of making trixie think she was going home, but that’s because myself and the majority of fans have respect for them not only as queens but as people too.

queens are worried about going back on drag race because they know that if they make even the slightest comment against another queen, people will be right on twitter trying to ruin their career and now the very essence of drag culture has been tainted by these people who don’t seem to realise that shade and reading is a part of this culture and that these girls are sisters no matter what.

I’ve lost track of where I was going with this but yeah, have some respect for these girls, they do everything for us. the least we can do is love and support them through all of their careers and hey let’s not put pressure on them to succeed when everything they do we should be happy they’ve achieved it
