The idea has been floating in my head for a while, what if the brothers suffered more haha unless….?

A lot of people assume Michael to be evil/malicious considering that he banished the brothers for protecting their sister, but I really think we need to step back and take things into perspective here.

Their father was willing to kill Lilith for saving a human. What do you think he would have done to the brothers for a full-on rebellion?

It wouldn’t have been pretty, I’m sure of that. I think Michael was trying to protect the brothers by casting them down. He knew that if the war went on, Father would win eventually, and the brothers would end up executed and possibly tortured for their crimes. So he sent them down to the Devildom to get them away from Father. The lesser of two evils.

That isn’t to downplay what he did, but I don’t think there was malice or even anger behind his decision to do what he did. I think he meant to protect them.
