i think in like early voltron the thing keith missed most is the color orange

he thinks its so stupid because out of all the things why a color

but it’s the garrison and flight school with shiro and his dads rainboots on the rare occasion it rained and the flames crackling in their fireplace on chilly nights

you dont see orange out in space much. it’s altean blue or galra purple, or neutral yellow. orange is few and far between.

unrelated, keith’s favorite flowers are marigolds so that his dad’s spirit knows he’s always welcome in keith’s home, regardless of where he is.
