Pretty much Kassidi and Sol in a nutshell:

Sol: This bloodline ends with me. Kassidi: That's the fanciest way I've ever heard someone say "I'm gay".

This isn't a big part of the Sowen plot, so here's a draft I have of how Raine died.

Keep going, just a bit further. 

The man was chasing Raine, maintaining a speedy pace for a solid ten minutes. He had a bow and arrow, ready to shoot. He just needed to aim. 

Raine was out of breath, but he couldn't stop. He wouldn't. 

Sol needed him, and he needed Sol. He wouldn't leave them behind. Ever. Not for time, not for wealth, not for the world. 

Raine kept running until the trees trapped him. He couldn't leave the forest. 

SHIT.

He couldn't stop! He had to keep going! If not for himself, for Sol. 

He tried to dodge the trees, to no avail. His arm got cut by one of the branches, and when he tried to back up, he tripped. 

"F-fuc-!" He couldn't finish his sentence before his head hit the ground. 

He got up as fast as possible, and ran back up to the trees. Then, he made his way around the trees, successful this time. 

The end of the forest that connected to the town of Esquies was so close. Raine just had 100 steps left to go. 

Don't let the man catch you, Raine.

80 steps.

60 steps.

40 steps.

10 steps.

It was all for nothing.

The man chasing him, drew out his bow, and shot. 

His deadly aim hit Raine in the chest.

Raine gasped. Then he fell down. 

He didn't say anything. His mouth drew blood. 

He collapsed. Fell to the ground.

But this time, he didn't get up.

So yeah! This is a drabble of how Raine died. I'll remake it when I beat Writer's Block in a 1v1, but until then, enjoy this.

Raine and Sol were dating at this time. They had known each other on the streets, both their families abandoning such useless children. Neither of them were strong, and for that, there was no use present. 

They found each other on a Winter's night. They huddled together for warmth. They were 6.

Eight years later and they were dating. Happily. For a year. The war in Sowen would never get in between them, for they had each other, and that's all they needed.

Lol, then Raine died. L-ratio bozo get wrecked. 

Sol was like "holy shit ballz" (they didn't say that, I'm projecting) and mourned for a few months. At some point, they found Kassidi entering an abandoned house to murder someone, and Sol follows.

Someone grabs Sol, and tried to choke them to death, before Kassidi stabs the person, saving Sol. 

Sol follows Kass after this, and Kassidi lets it happen. She doesn't egt angry at them, she tries to train them. To be a skilled fighter and bounty hunter.

Amariah (Kassidi's mentor) watches the two getting along, and 'recruits' (for lack of a better word) Sol as a bounty hunter.

Oh yeah also let me traumatize Sol for a sec here. They found Raine's dead body when he didn't come back to Sol earlier. Sol panicked and asked for help, but no one in the corrupted government would help a street rat. 

That's all they were, right?

They couldn't even help their boyfriend. They shouldn't have left him. 

It's their fault Raine died.

Also, I was trying to think of a last name for Raine (I've had their first name and design for a long time already), and was like, "Hey, Raine and Sol. They're weather, right? How about Weather as a last name? Nah, that's too obvious. How about... Weatheral? PERFECT. Not even a little bit on the nose. Yep," so yeah! That's how I thought of his name!

Why dear stranger, I'm so glad you asked! I posted my first Raine x Sol animation today! It's just some doodles, though, and they look a bit different but here ya go!

Voice claims

Since the characters are within a book, I don't need voice claims. But wouldn't it be fun to at least know what they sound like?

Alas, here they are! (These aren't canon, they're just placeholders until I can find someone who fits a character perfectly.)

Kassidi's VA: Allegra Clack (speaking). Jostlyn Rose (singing.)

Sol's VA: Steven Dookie (singing). Speaking not yet confirmed.

Amariah's VA: Teagan Earley (speaking and singing)

Raine's VA: Zeno Robinson (however it would be a more androgenous role) . Singing isn't confirmed, but it's not an issue since it's a book, lol.

What is Sowen?

Sowen is an original story created by me. It is currently in the works.

The story follows 17 year old Kassidi Vendara as she navigates her way through a world of violence and chaos in her kingdom; Sowen. ("Wow! That's the name of the story!" You say as you care.)

(Spoilers for Sowen ahead!)

"Who is Kassidi?"

Kassidi is a 17 year old (she/her/they, aroace) girl from the kingdom of Sowen. As an angsty teenage author would typically add, her parents died when she was young in the war happening in Sowen. She has the ability to see how people were murdered in the war. This skill is called Astral Projection.

---- "What is Astral Projection?" Astral Projection is the ability to see into other people's memories/past. Kassidi sees how people are murdered, which she realizes people kill others for the thrill of it. She finds this unfair and vows to murder all of those who did anyone wrong.

"Who are all of the characters and what are their roles?" Well, I have a few characters that are finished, and others that aren't.

The list (,most to least important,) goes as followed;

Kassidi Vendara. 17, aroace (she/her/they)

Solen "Sol" Elowen. 16, gay (they/them)

Amariah Violea. 42, lesbian (she/her)

Raine Weatheral. 16 (died at 15), pansexual (he/him)

"What are some relationships in the story?" Sol and Raine were dating. They are (were*) the same age. The war in Sowen had been going on for years before they were born, and, as fate would have it, Raine would get stabbed during the war. Sol had to learn to live without him.

Who are you? How old is the author??

My name is Kay (I'd prefer not to deadname on here yet), and I am a teenage author. While I know I am young and naive, I think writing can be enjoyed by anyone, regardless of age. So long as you trust yourself, have fun with accomplishing whatever you set your mind to!

"Who is Amariah and why isn't she talked about more?"

Amariah is a mentor to Kassidi, showing her the best way to find her targets. She is a skilled fighter. She is the one who took Sol in as well, training them and Kassidi together. This is what created the duo of Sol and Kass that we have now.

"Run me through the plot one more time?" Okay! Here's a work in progress of the lore I have so far.

What drives motivation? Is it fueled my rage? Or anger? Or better yet, does your motivation spark from even just a glimpse of hope? Hope that you can fix something. Or someone.

Kassidi Vendara, a 17 year old badass bounty hunter, is driven by much more than just pure rage. The people from her own kingdom, Sowen, are in war. They're in war with each other. They kill their own bloodline, and for what? In Sowen, the weak are seen as objects, and the powerful are seen as all mighty gods.

It makes no sense.

At eight years old, Kassidi watched her own family die with their pride in tact, something Kass never left behind. She's courageous, and determined to wear her family's honor with pride. 

But as fate would have it, it doesn't go according to plan. One day, when she was 14 years old, she finds two dead bodies. She walks up to them slowly, with a knife in hand, and reaches for one. She sees how the person died; stab wounds by someone who called themselves his friend. She was disgusted. She vowed to get revenge on not only the murderer of the man, but everyone who had done someone wrong, or even crossed the wrong person, which inevitably ended up in bloodshed.

All of them would die. 

So, that's what happened. She murdered all of those who had paraded in the downfall and bloodshed of their enemies. She didn't leave any room for mercy. After all, mercy is for the weak. For the ones who feel remorse. Kassidi felt none of that. She knew what she was doing was right.

By the time she reached 15, she had met the great Amariah, a powerful Mafia boss in her very own kingdom. She took Kassidi under her wing, training her how not to get caught, how to sneak poison in beverages, and better yet; how not to regret any of it.

Kassidi trained with her, until she reached her current age- 17. Now, she's beyond strong and powerful, able to run fast and almost superhuman agility. Dodging knife strikes and taking stab wounds like a badass. Anyone who crossed her would end up dead. 

With war going on, she became much more fearless. She let no one and nothing ruin her path to success. She had killed off almost everyone who had done her wrong. But what about the one who killed her parents? She could see how people died, and who killed them, but she couldn't quite discover who murdered her own parents.

Along her journey to solving this, she meets Solen "Sol" Elowen, a 16 year old beam of sunshine, to counter Kassidi's cloudy, one faced views. Kassidi saves them from a threat that found its way into their life, and Sol is obsessed with Kassidi afterwards. Following her everywhere, like a sidekick, asking if they can join her in sparring, to the amusement of Kass.

Amariah is entertained on the sidelines, finding nothing but a sense of peace with the friendship between the two, and recruits Solen. She sees potential in them, and they are more than enthralled to be working beside Kassidi.

Now, the two of them are nothing short of a dynamic duo. They bounty hunt for robbers, terrorists, even murderers, and feel a sense of pleasure while doing it. The most unlikely duo are the ones having the most fun murdering people. They work to find more and more people to kill, to end all of the bloodshed. The bloodshed that they joined in on.

But it's for a good reason. Right?

Kassidi has to find away to escape the people who want her dead, and figure out how to kill them before they even have a chance to lay a finger on her, or her found-family.

And maybe, one day, she'll finally figure out who killed her parents.

Kassidi Vendara

Age 17

Race: European/Puerto-Rican equivalent to her kingdom

Sexual identity: She/they, aroace (no romance or sexual desire at all)

She has what is called Astral Projection; which is when the user visits different times and/or places. There is a sense of being out of the body in the physical world, but rather seeing these events through someone else's eyes, which could connote some alteration in time-perception.

Occupation: Bounty Hunter

Kingdom: Sowen — a mystical, nature-themed kingdom styled like a Renaissance fair with 1600s vibes

Solen "Sol" Elowen:

Age: 16

Race: European/mixed

Sexual identity: Nonbinary (they/them, AMAB), gay

They are an expert at deciphering codes and reading at a superhuman speed. Incredibely smart and will rant about history for hours, while sketching out blueprints for a new blade design for combat.

Loves Kassidi, but rather than a 'romance way', more-so a big sister, little sibling way.

Occupation: Bounty Hunter

Kingdom: Sowen. Same as above.

Amariah Ellana: 

Age: 42

Race: European/French/Russian

Sexual identity: she/her, lesbian

She has scars all over herself from combat. 

She is a badass and I love her dearly. 

Surprisingly, she is not abusive. She is smart. She gives Kassidi and Sol what she wish she had growing up.

Occupation: Bounty Hunter and Mafia Leader 

Kingdom: Sowen. Originally from Embrayol, a more esteemed version of Sowen. What it will turn into if Sowen continues the war.

Raine Weatheral:

Age: 15 (If alive; 16.)

Race: European/mixed

Sexual identity: he/him, pansexual

He dies in the Sowen War (called the Fallen War by Sowen natives).

Was in a relationship with Solen.

Occupation: He was 15, so he had none. He was an excellent author, though. He often wrote poems. Typically he wrote Romantic Poetry and Nature Poetry.

I like to imagine that rather than the war stopping, Kassidi and Sol murder most civilians in Sowen, allowing the kind souls to escape to another kingdom. Then, they start fresh at Sowen, rebuilding it until there's nothing left to fix. Then, they live peacefully as a found family as their kingdom slowly starts repopulating when more people move back there. The kingdom is finally at peace.
