— censored
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
PAIRING: yu nishinoya x reader (gender-neutral) — anime
GENRE: fluff
WARNINGS: none
possible haikyuu spoilers (anime)
SUMMARY: as someone who’s chosen not to cuss, you find it all too amusing to censor out your boyfriend who does.
Tumblr media
↪︎ You and Noya are like the sun and the moon, different, yet fated for each other.
↪︎ You’re both competitive to an extreme extent and you both know how to light up a room.
↪︎ Although you’re not as flamboyant as Noya, you don’t lack self-esteem and your confidence is one of the traits Nishinoya fell in love with.
↪︎ One of your more notable differences is your vocabulary and how you use it.
↪︎ Noya, as you may have noticed, has a very… colourful vocabulary and enjoys using it.
↪︎ Often directed at Tanaka.
↪︎ You, on the other hand, chose not to employ his chosen lexicon.
↪︎ Instead, opting for your own substitutions that never fail to crack Noya- and the rest of the team- up.
↪︎ You don’t mind Nishinoya’s cussing one bit, it’s just a personal lifestyle choice you’ve chosen not to take up.
↪︎ Your substitutions, however, have become such a trademark that you’ve started to censor out your lover.
↪︎ Your voice often overpowering his.
↪︎ Not only for your enjoyment, but for the team’s as well.
↪︎ It didn’t bother Noya, but sometimes, just for kicks, he would play as though he was annoyed and it brought smiles all around.
↪︎ “Tanaka, you son of a-”
↪︎ “BISCUIT!”
↪︎ “-get back here!”
↪︎ “No! Don’t listen to them, you’re a son of a-” “BISCUIT!”
↪︎ In those cases, he would just playfully sigh and look at you pointedly with his hands on his hips.
↪︎ And although he would be shaking his head at you, he would have amusement and admiration swimming in his eyes.
↪︎ On other occasions, you would completely catch him off guard.
↪︎ Like during a practice match.
↪︎ “S-” “SUGAR!” “I’ll get it next time!”
↪︎ The whole team, and their opponent, would shoot their gaze to look at you in surprise.
↪︎ In that instant, you hoped that your cheeks weren’t too red.
↪︎ You and Noya would just look at each other sheepishly and shrug.
↪︎ The whole team would share a much needed laugh before returning to the game.
↪︎ After a while, just because you’d done it so often, Nishinoya would start to subconsciously use some of your words.
↪︎ “Asahi that spike was so badapple!”
↪︎ Once he realised what he’d done, his ears would turn red and his heart would flutter a bit
↪︎ Tanaka and Kageyama would undoubtedly share a look before bursting out laughing.
↪︎ That night as you were huddled in between piles of pillows, recounting your day, Noya told you about his earlier encounter and you felt a slightly uncomfortable bubbly feeling rise in your chest.
↪︎ “Aw, Noya, that’s so fudging sweet.”
↪︎ You felt his chest vibrate as he laughed and closed his eyes while rested his head on the top of yours.
↪︎ Then suddenly he seemed to remember Tanaka and Kageyama laughing at him.
↪︎ “Those ducking biscuits, they’re going to fudging pay for that.”

Cream silk gauze wedding dress from 1822
"The bride was Lady Jane Lennox and the dress was worn at her wedding to Laurence Peel on 20 July 1822. Jane was the daughter of the 4th Duke of Richmond, and Charlotte, Duchess of Richmond who hosted the famous Waterloo Ball in 1815. Laurence Peel was the younger brother of the Prime Minister, Sir Robert Peel."
