He’s done the work and has gone to therapy and will proudly diagnose the others (in my chapter in progress he comments about Lex having imposter syndrome for example)

Of the ghosts Lex can’t see she can sense his presence the strongest when he’s around

The suck thing about not fully outlining writing is that you have a few archs you have in mind but the getting to point A-B-C is where the blocks come in….so please as readers or just someone who sees this post in passing help a writer out….

Last chapter took place late June….

The two main archs I have planned out are….

Christmas in July: a Hatchetfield-ian (at first I had planned it to be Ted but now I kind of want it to be Alice as she’s been established already in my lore) checks into Woodstone and is possessed by a ghost

Sam’s Book: established in my lore that it’s getting a Halloween release date

Other plot ideas I don’t know where to place:

I want Patience and Elias to show up…not necessarily at the same time

I want another Stephanie/Hannah scene

I want more Abby (I know she’s showing back up in canon so hopefully that will inevitably inspire but also it could be interesting for her to pop back up alongside Ethan!)

I want more Bela (again I know she’s getting more canon arch and it will be interesting to see if I can incorporate her getting a canon ghost BF with the whole Lex/Sass of it all)

Nisaac and H$ moments of significance

Maybe give Sam a publicist for her book promotion and maybe said publicist has white streaks in her hair and a spider tattoo and is named something like Charlie Webber or something….wink wink

Why did I decide to make this next chapter slice of life the afternoon after stuff got revealed….

Right now I really want to write a Jay/Sass/Pete scene and I’m pinned against the wall

Now all I have to do is a Jay/Pete/Sass/Flower scene and possibly one final family moment to wrap up my arch

Isaac is a simple ghost….he wants Lex to be in a community theater production and wants Sam to make him a “slime tutorial” of it

I wish I didn’t have an opening shift as I finally got my groove with my Lex/Trevor/Hetty/Isaac scene once that’s done got to get a Jay/Sass/Pete (with probably Flower and Thor lurking despite being unseen) scene written and than figure out my next time jump arch as I know there will be at least one more chapter in between Lex’s Birthday and Christmas in July

To which I keep going back and forth if I DO want Ted or a different HatchetVerse character yet to appear to check into Woodstone or if I want it to be Alice since Lex gave her an open invitation to stay at the B&B

The anxiety over the possibility that the two season pickup could potentially become a shortened final season is killing my muse

There was a post on ghosts social media about what paramount + titles the core 8 plus Sam & Jay would pick for a movie night and so I decided to look at what was available on the platform as of 7/12/2025 and have picked titles I feel would resonate with the sisters

Lex would pick Stardust or alternatively Breakfast at Tiffany’s

Hannah would pick IF or alternatively Mean Girls (the original not the musical) especially if she can drag Stephanie down from the attic
