Update: I wrote the thing.

It's called One Shall Mourn.

Idea that's floating around in my head that I may or may not end up writing when I have the time and spoons:

Post-No One Mourns the Wicked Glinda going back to the Emerald City and just breaking down in her room. She's grieving, she's broken and she's furious that the Munchkins made that effigy...made her...that she had to burn it just to keep them happy.

She decides, in her fury, to storm to the Wizard's old room and just take it out on that stupid, hideous head he used to hide behind. Take out all the grief and anger, at Oz, the Wizard, Morrible and herself (not Elphie, never Elphie) by just punching and kicking at it until her knuckles are bruised and bleeding, and she can barely stand to put weight on her leg, and she's sobbing so much she thinks she may be sick.

And as she pulls back to punch it again, a cold, gentle hand catches her wrist. "He can't actually feel that, you know?"

And Glinda thinks she's going mad because that can't be her, because she's dead, Glinda saw her die...but she turns and just collapses against Elphaba's front.

"Y-you're gone!"

"...there was a trap door" Elphaba whispers, holding her tightly "...Fiyero's idea...I'm so sorry Glinda, you weren't supposed to be there...it wasn't real, I'm here and I'm never leaving you again"

"Y-you're not real...y-you're g-gone, I l-let them-!"

"I'm here. I'm right here Glin, it's okay, I promise..."
