Specter's Weird Analog Writing Work Flow

Hi all! I've seen some curiosity around how I write so I'm clearing it all up. First, I work on pen-and-paper. I write the entire first draft/major edits with fountain pen, including choices if I'm making a non-kinetic visual novel.

After each 'part' of the first draft is done, I transfer it to 4thewords, which is a free (with optional paid tiers) writing tool that turns writing into an RPG! This is where I make the majority of my edits.

I then put all of it into Visual Studio Code, and add any last changes while I'm playing the game or tinkering around in the code. With each step of the process, I'm more likely to catch potential flaws/things that irk me. Having to type everything after I've already written it means I am confident in what I've written, and makes editing far easier and less time-consuming!

I cannot share All the details of this as I want to get it delicately placed in the fine arms of a publisher, but it’s about a wood elf blacksmith and his dwarven mentor who go after an exiled prince that cursed one of them to transform into a dragon, leading to a grand adventure across multiple books of love, loss, and maaaaybe bringing an entire kingdom to the ground 🤭

If you know which one, you know LOL. My overall plan is to study abroad in [place], intern there so I can transition from a student visa to a working visa once my time studying is up (and I wouldn't have to worry about the job market), and one day, maybe, get my dream job

without including too much detail, we are having to quickly pack and move out of our home within the next month. we are looking for somewhere else to live rn !

with the huge amount of physical and emotional labor involved in moving so quickly, i will not be able to take on any larger commissions until we are somewhere safe and things are settled- likely july.

Today is Iggy's birthday and coincidentally the last day of Autism Awareness Month, so I just wanted to say how much Iggy means to me in helping me figure out so many things about myself that never used to make sense.

(Which also counts for day 26 of #30DaysofOW too lolol)
