Did an asset jam over the weekend! The theme was Whodunit, so I made a selection of character busts as an asset pack. They could be suspects in a case, jurors, whatever. I was thinking a lot about Ace Attorney and Who's Lila while working on these!

Is volac meant to kinda look like a uterus drawing?

Yup! I spent a lot of time trying to figure out how I wanted to weave the two headed dragon into the design on a more stylized level, and eventually it hit me they could be fallopian tubes and the ovaries could be pearls, while also kinda evoking the wings he's meant to have. I thought it worked nicely with the figure being fetal. I think I was trying to emulate Kazuma Kaneko

V O L A C, MAGNUS PRÆSUS: Volac is a great leader, who puts in an appearance like some boy with angel's wings, riding a dragon with two heads. He will tell you whatever you want to know about hidden treasure, and he'll charm all manner of serpent so you can pick them up with your hands. He commands thirty legions.

This is a project I've wanted to start for a long time, doing illustrations of the demons found in medieval texts on goetia. I got ahold of a really lovely translation of the Pseudomonarchia Dæmonum and decided it was finally time! This one was a blast to do!
