ATTENTION PET OWNERS

This post is going to rushed but I’m still shaking and it’s hard to type but I NEED people to know this

My mom just took my dog to the vet She(my dog) was(still is?) having a seizure

Last month we took my dog to the vet and they told us she had developed diabetes, they told us it was caused by the food she was eating, purina beneful. They told us that there have been many many many reports of Beneful has been causing diabetes, seizures, and even death in dogs.

We had no idea

We immediately switched her food and put her on a special diet plan for her diabetes, unfortunately the effects were already permeate.

Today at 11:20 my mom woke me up crying, I helped her carry my dog to the car (while she was still having a seizure) and watched her drive away red faced and still crying.

Please please PLEASE if you are feeding your pets Purina beneful PLEASE switch their food ASAP Beneful is poising dogs and I don’t want anyone else to experience what I just did Also if you could please help me signal boost this so everyone can know

You know, in retrospect, having gay marriage as a debate topic when I was the only openly gay kid in class was SUPER WEIRD. Imagine if you walked into AP Gov and your teacher pointed at you like, “I don’t think Brian should have health insurance because he sucks. Discuss?”

i hope every transgender or nonbinary person in the world has a nice safe day

i had to do a debate on the transgender bathroom law and it was mortifying. there was one trans guy, and two other not cis people against a side with someone who literally bullied a transgender kid to the point he had to go to one of those therapeutic schools. I had to debate my right to use the bathroom against a girl i had known for 8 years.

the kicker? the debate ended in a tie.

it ended in a tie, even though the other side didn’t complete the assignment. we were supposed to have 10 facts and statistics. we were supposed to omit opinions. they had 8. 8 variations of “people this doesn’t affect would be uncomfortable so it doesn’t matter.”

it ended in a tie, even though my side had 41 points to bring up. we had facts. we had studies. we had statistics. hell, we even brought up the fact trans people literally cannot help that they’re trans.

it has been two years since this debate and i still get angry whenever i think about it.

if there are any teachers reading this, for the love of whatever god you believe in DO NOT make kids debate over transgender or gay issues. ESPECIALLY when there’s an openly transgender person in the class. this is just as bad as debating whether or not black people should have rights. just do not do it.

Nikita Dragun (MTF)

Nikita Dragun is a trans beauty guru. After Victoria’s Secret stated that trans women could not “Sell the fantasy,” Nikita made a video of her posing in lingerie and wings to combat their statement. This video made several headlines of smaller LGBT centric news outlets and even Entertainment Tonight, where she did an interview.

Rain Dove (Genderfluid)

Rain Dove is a genderfluid model that combats gender stereo-types in their modeling. They always talk about how to calmly handle LGBT related issues and often post conversations in their DMs and comments with people who do not agree with their views. This includes the woman who maced them in a public bathroom. They did not press charges and instead peacefully talked to her through instagram DMs.

Chella Man (Genderqueer)

Chella man is a deaf activist, model, and artist. He openly talks about diversity and how singled out he felt as a child for being Jewish, deaf, LGBT, and hispanic. He has a small series on Youtube on how to speak sign language and often posts helpful tips on how to support/show kindness to anyone deaf/hard of hearing. In December 2018, he officially joined WME’s speaker division. He openly talks about his struggles with dysphoria and that it can always get better.

Emma Ellingsen (MTF)

Emma Ellingsen was featured in the Norwegian documentary Born in the Wrong Body as a child, a documentary that focused on transgender children growing up in Norway. Her youtube channel consists of daily vlogs, travel vlogs, and make up tutorials. She officially came out as transgender in September 2018, but was a successful model much before then.

Laverne Cox (MTF)

Laverne Cox is the first openly transgender person to be nominated for an Emmy award for her role on Orange is the New Black. Additionally, she played Frank-N-Furter in the 2017 Rocky Horror Picture Show. She speaks out against Anti-Trans issues and has participated in a calendar titled “The Fantasy” with twelve other trans women of colour.
