' I didn't want to tell you because I wasn't sure how you were going to take it, ' he shrugs offering a small smile to the other. ‘ To be completely honest I wasn’t sure how I was going to tell you but it definitely wasn’t going to be like this, ‘ Benji confesses. Peter’s acceptance and want to hear about his own adventure caused Benji to perk up with excitement. 

‘ Oh man, dad! It was amazing, swinging through the city never gets old. Hob Goblin really tried to get away from me, but thanks to my quick thinking and the webs I was able to get him all wrapped up! Cops came by and congratulated me . ‘ 

He hoped that MJ was asleep too otherwise, she might be dragging the both of them in by their ears. Not to mention it wasn’t like Benji was ready to tell his mom about being the other spider-man. He didn’t imagine that she would take it really well either. Stepping inside Benji heads toward the kitchen to sit at the bar. ‘ I think you’d be proud of me, dad. I did pretty well out there. ‘

Peter was torn.  He did want to be proud of Benji… but he also felt like he had to do the Dad thing and do it right.  What was the compromise between the two?  He led Benji inside and sat him down on the living room sofa… hopefully they could talk quietly.

“I wish you’d told me before you did it,” he said.  “But… tell me all about it?”  And he couldn’t keep just a small smile off his face as he said it.

Benji stops dead in his tracks when the voice of his father calls to him from behind, he thought he had been quiet sneaking downstairs. Quick Benji think of something! ‘ Oh well - well you know just... um - comic con. ‘ Oh yes, Benji because comic con at four in the morning is totally plausible.

’ Ah, dad come on I’m fine! What’s the worse that can happen… you know what don’t answer that, ‘ he shakes his head raising his hand up to the other. Following Peter inside their home, Benji can’t help but talk about his experience. ‘ Dad you should have seen me! Hob Goblin really tried to overpower me, not gonna lie he had me at first, but I outsmarted him it was so awesome! ‘

“You’re not in trouble,” said Peter, holding up his hands.  “Just come inside and tell me about it - and we’ll hope your mother’s still asleep.”  It was unfortunate that Peter’s spider-sense didn’t think of MJ as a threat.  It wouldn’t warn him if she were waiting for them just inside the door.

' Oh, well it's a good thing you came along wasn't it? That’s not sarcasm by the way I am genuinely happy you showed up. Guess you’re right, although I don’t know if my first time fighting aliens should be a whole damn armada, ‘ Benji chuckles nervously. Okay so maybe he was terrified of the big blue aliens and their ships of mass destruction but could anyone really blame him?

‘ So just tell me when to strike and how hard! I’ve got this! I’m also sticky... like really sticky and I’ve got webs. You’d be surprised how useful they can come when in sticky situations, ‘ Benji pauses for a moment trying to hold back laughter at the last part of his sentence. ‘ Sorry... right this is serious no time for joking around. ‘

Benji wasn’t new to this whole hero business, he had been the other Spider-Man for years now. Brooklyn was his turf but that didn’t mean he wouldn’t accept help from other heroes when the moment called for it and the moment certainly had. Sure he’s dealt with threats like Hob Goblin and other supervillains but creatures from space? That wasn’t exactly his area of expertise.

So when this other hero offered his help, Benji was quick to accept. ‘ Yeah, I don’t exactly deal with big blue aliens threatening to destroy earth often… actually come to think of it I’ve never dealt with this in my entire life. ‘

When space threats came to earth, Aiden always tried to be the first on the spot to deal with the situation. But of course he couldn’t always do that, sometimes when he got to the scene of the attack other heroes were already taking care of the situation and he was okay with that.. Help was never too much. And that’s exactly what happened that day. He saw the other hero ready to face the alien, and offered to help, as always.

“Well– I already have a lot of experience with these kinds of problems.” Lately he had specialized in handling these issues, perhaps because he was now a Nova. “And that’s what they say, right ?? There is always a first time for everything.”

Benji smiled at Loki giving him a prompt nod before hurrying up to his room to get everything situated for their parent son date together. Grabbing the bean bag chairs from his closet he tosses them onto the middle of the floor, placing his old Black Sabbath record on and turning it high enough for background noise. ‘ Alright, it’s all set up come on up here! ‘ Benji calls out to the other grinning.

' Ah, dad come on I'm fine! What’s the worse that can happen... you know what don’t answer that, ‘ he shakes his head raising his hand up to the other. Following Peter inside their home, Benji can’t help but talk about his experience. ‘ Dad you should have seen me! Hob Goblin really tried to overpower me, not gonna lie he had me at first, but I outsmarted him it was so awesome! ‘

He lets out a sigh at his father’s remark, pulling the black mask from his back pocket and showing the other. ‘ I found one of your old suits and made my own touch ups… kinda wasn’t expecting you to find out just yet. I honestly didn’t know how you’d take it, ‘ Benji confesses.

That was a relief.  Peter opened the front door so he and Benji could go inside.  “I can’t exactly tell you no, seeing as I was doing it when I was your age.  But I could have given you some tips.”

To say that Hob Goblin was expecting someone else to jump in couldn't have been farthest from the truth. Someone of Loki’s calibre was certainly not one that he was used to, the blast from the God’s hand sends him reeling back, crashing into the wall behind him as he lay still in the rubble trying to regain himself.

Benji, on the other hand, laid where the bomb from Goblin had landed him. Part of his suit singed and revealing the burns on his leg and side. ‘ Ow... awe this is gonna take a while for my body to heal up, ‘ he groans pushing himself to his feet. Benji looks toward the rubble where Hob Goblin lay struggling to get up and fight back. ‘ Hah! Hey, thank you! Oh man... he’s gonna be feeling that one. Hey! Hobby how does it feel! ‘ Benji laughs at the other, clutching his side when he does so. ‘ Oof - ow okay no more laughing until my healing factor kicks in. ‘

Benji nods his head in understanding when Loki confirms that he’s okay. ‘ Man spidey senses are amazing, ‘ he chuckles giving the other a thumbs up. The question throws him off guard and Benji debates over in his head if he will need help or not. ‘ Uh - well… I’ll get back to you on that one. If you see me getting my ass handed to me? Jump in. ‘

Webbing himself up he swings over to the Hob Goblin, battle breaking out between the two and for the most part, Benji was doing pretty well in handling the other. Unfortunately, his luck ran out when Hob Goblin used an explosive to blind the spider hero.

Well, that was one way to put it. Loki had half a mind to leave the poor sap, but he remained; a debt was owed. The Jotun had a feeling he would have the chance to repay it as well considering the opponent seemed well versed. 

The tides shifted in an instant, and Loki was moving before he knew what he was doing. His hands swirl over another as a blade is summoned from nowhere. He makes a dash towards the villain, feigning a stab whilst the other hand charged a blue orb that soon sent the enemy reeling back. The Jotun spared a glance back towards the kid before advancing again; hopefully, he would recover well.

' I'm many things but a creep isn't one of them unless you're into that. I was actually going to see if you wanted to go get pizza or something? '

Benji having a rough night and can’t sleep yeah? So he just kinda moseys on over into yuh muses room curling up beside them ( kinda a ways away because he doesn’t wanna be a bother but he just needs to know someone is beside him ) and just being peaceful

Benji held his broken web shooters in one hand and a tool in the other, fixing them up for tonight's daily patrol. Soft brown eyes gaze up at Tony when he speaks and a small smile forms at the comment. ‘ Thanks, Tones... I’m trying I really am. I know he’d be proud to see me as Spider-Man, ‘ Benji nods.

There’s a sad sort of smile present when he thinks of his father. But he was thankful that Tony had stepped in to care for him. Holding up the device he waves it around with a sly grin. ‘ So.... you wanna help fix em? ‘
