There’s multiple “Saviors of the Spiral”.

Oh, no, not multiple “Young Wizards”. That would be chaos.

But there are people marked by fate, as it were. They may never cross paths for more than a fleeting moment, because the Spiral is so vast, and the places these heroes go are so different and far.

Perhaps there’s the Explorer, who travels to uncontacted spiral worlds and reconnects broken leylines to weave together worn threads.

Or maybe there’s the Knight, who defends honor and restores order in the precious moment between chaos and the restoration of order.

It doesn’t matter what their names are, or their titles. You’ll know who they are if you cross their path.

I just think this line is so funny bc the implications are as follows:

1 - Vestri has apparently been annoyed by enough Wizards to consider them a pest akin to insects, etc.

2 - There is apparently a spray (or so Vestri believes) capable of keeping random Wizards out. Like, Wizard Raid or something.

(2.B - if such a thing does exist why doesn't every BBEG in the Spiral just have it on hand lmao)

3 - Despite being pests, his first instinct isn't even to try and squash us like pests (yet), he just wonders how we got there. Still far more composed than me when I see an ant lol.
