Every Inhun fanfic be like: Inho gently pet Gihun's graying hair. He wanted to make love to him but at his age he wasn't functioning there anymore. Gihun got off the sofa, his aging bones cracking as he moves. Unfortunately, this was too much for him at his age and his body gave in. Inho died 2 weeks later of old age, peacefully.

A Crack AU where Sangwoo, Sae-beyok and Gihun all won the first game and after some time Sangwoo and Gihun are sitting for a soju date™️ and Sangwoo tells Gihun about his financial plans and Gihun thinks it's risky so he says "be careful, you might end up with someone shoving a credit card up your throat again." And Sangwoo is like "????" And Gihun says,"You know, like when they did after we won the game?" And Sangwoo says very calmly, "Hyung, what are you talking about? Did they shove your card in your mouth?!"

And Gihun is like "yes! Didn't they do it to you as well?" And Sangwoo, very concerned, replies, "no, they put it in my pocket like a normal person."

Then they ask Sae-beyok as well and Gihun finds out he was the only one the frontman shoved a card in his mouth and he just can't let go of it. It keeps him wondering for days - Why? What does it mean???

Bonus- Gihun comes back to his husband and tells him about it and Inho is all like "oh yes, big mystery, who knows why this Frontman guy did this to you. Guess we'll never know."

Even crackier AU- Sangwoo finds out he's the only one the Frontman DIDN'T put a card in his mouth and he gets pissed off- why? Am I not good enough for you to put your fingers in my mouth?

A Crack fic idea where Gihun, instead of telling the players they're playing a death game right before Red Light Green Light, goes for the way more logical option of telling them before they sign the consent form.

After the other players finish their whole "You kidnapped us, how are we supposed to trust you?" Shouting at the staff, Gihun looks back to the cameras and winks and then turns to the manager and goes "excuse me yeah I have a question too. Is it true that the eliminated players will be killed?" And everyone laughs until the masked manager says "Details about the elimination process will be revealed during the first game."

Gihun says "sure, but can you just confirm the eliminated players won't be killed?" But the manager just repeats his vague answer. At this moment the players start to panick and they use the "If you do not wish to play, please let us know at this point." option very quickly.

As all the players refuse to play, Gihun is about to follow but the manager informs him he can't refuse to sign the consent form because of his deal with the Frontman. So they make Gihun play Red Light Green Light BY HIMSELF and it's just so awkward. So so awkward. He just casually walks every time the doll sings and he looks so DONE. Then after the game's over he (obvi) says he wants to end the game but they do it the proper way and bring the podium and make Gihun, the only fucking player, Go up and press that X before they finally send him home.

And the ride home with Inho again? PEAK AWKWARD.

honestly i never thought the phrase “i want that twink obliterated” was like a sexual thing. like when i read the phrase i imagine “a meteor like the one that killed the dinosaurs is summoned from the heavens and hits the twink in question” type situation

I know the whole point of Squid Game is that Gihun is a lowlife, but I can't get my mind off an AU where everything is the same except Gihun is a doctor (or maybe a scientist) who had a groundbreaking idea but didn't get funding for his research so he turned to loan sharks and that's why he ended up in debt and eventually enters the games. Even better, Gihun is researching diabetes hoping he could treat his mom with the new medicine he develops, and that's the main reason why he's so desperate to get money for this.

After season1 Gihun puts all his money into his work and makes some impressive progress, and he suddenly notices things go easy for him. Medical research is 90% about politics and bureaucracy, ethics committees giving you hell, higher ups blocking your progress pushing their own agenda, etc. But suddenly everything runs smoothly for Seong Gihun. Each new proposal gets fast approval, scandals from higher ups or rivals seem to vanish on their own, new investors suddenly support his ideas and want to collaborate... almost like someone above is protecting him. Almost like a certain someone, perhaps with a black polygon mask and a lot of ties with influential people, is helping him from the shadows because he's fascinated by him and his work. And because he's madly in love with him but that's season 2 spoiler.

So Gihun keeps believing each time they're so close to winning the vote after the next game and that that will be his best way to save the players so he just keeps waiting for the next vote. But after the third game, or maybe after losing the vote in the next morning, He realized team O will most likely keep winning so he decides he has to take action but instead of starting the rebellion and risking so many lives he just takes Young-il with him.

As they approach the entrance to the management area, Young-il says, "It seems to be some sort of recognition system on the wall. I don't think we can get through without a mask."

"I see. Then why don't you just use yours to open this?" Gihun asks in a casual tone

"W...what?"

"I said," Gihun points his gun at him, "use your Frontman mask to open the door, Inho."

About a year post-games after everyone recovered and got therapy and their happy ending, Gihun and the Hwang brothers need to spend some time together and Junho feels nervous about third-wheeling a married couple, Gihun feels nervous about third-wheeling two brothers and Inho feels nervous about third-wheeling two best friends. (Gihun and Junho got really close while working together before and after the games of 2024 ok?)

And none of them knows the other two feel like they're the only third wheel

Damn In-ho doesn't even look beat up or bloody in that flashback photo. He's sweaty for sure, but when you think about how gihun and sangwoo looked during/after their final round, it's not even close. And if they offered him the front man job right after he won??? but seriously - at this point, inho doesnt know his wife and child are dead or will die. he think he's taking the money home to save them. so, this maybe in this, he'll say no to ilnam's offer and go home, at which point he realizes he lost everything. so he calls ilnam back - the old man gave him a card for sure - and says that he accepts the job since he has nothing to lose now.

and now with inhun shipping goggles - this is gonna be a direct parallel to inho resigning from the job bc of gihun 😌 the light to his darkness! and it also creates another link between inho's wife and gihun; one's death drove inho into the dark and one's survival brought him back to the light
