If Vengeance has a mother, her name is Patience.
She’d grown up inside books. No matter how dark life became, shutting out the hurt was as easy as opening a cover.
“Death is the only promise we all keep.”
Thus, the greatest monsters get their way, she realized.
By looking just like the rest of us.
If you can't see your chains, what use is a key?
"Only that there's two kinds of loyalty," Mia replied. "The kind paid for with love, and the kind paid for with silver."
“There’s no softer pillow than a clear conscience.”

Out of the Blue by Jason June
My rating: 4/5 stars
This book was so cute! I was drawn to it by the mermaid aspect but it was a good read. I also enjoyed the inclusivity and body positivity this book portrayed. It was funny at parts but at others I wanted to slam the book against someone's head (mostly to knock some sense into Crest). The twists and exciting moments were so good as well! I actually had to rant to my friends at one part about what was happening as I was reading it. The main grievance I had was with the ending that kind of threw off the worldbuilding up to that point. Other than that, this is a very cute read and a great LGBTQ romance story.
