I own five dogs, two cats and a rabbit. Two of my dogs live with me, along with the rabbit, and the rest live with my mom, where they have resided all of their lives. I'm active in dog sports and my page will mostly consist of posts about my dogs and animals in general. ...I also love music&tv&movies&books so there'll be some of those here, too. I love me some John Mayer so there should be lots of him here.

The Declan babies made it to Purina!!! Ivy (DeclanxMorgana) got a bath and blown/combed out but she's smiling so maybe she forgives me. She is happy happy happy and unphased by everything which reminds me of her daddy. Lazy took a trip to the vet today. His gait was off yesterday like he couldn't move his back legs properly and they would splay behind him. So we took him to see an exotic vet. They took radiographs which revealed he has a suspicious spot/tumour by his kidney and he does have arthritis in his right hip. There is significant wearing between the ball and socket. We had them draw for a panel to check kidney function, ect, and should get results tomorrow. He had to be anesthetized since they draw from their jugular which he handled well and recovered. They took two ml's so I am keeping an eye on him - he drank some water, ate a treat chew and went to sleep in his hammock. Mama even learned that ferrets, like dogs, have an os penis from the radiograph, so it turned out to be educational. I hope his panel turns out OK. He's at least seven years old and the vet said he could tell he's been well taken care of. He may go on Metacam for his arthritis but may look into acupuncture due to side effects from being on an NSAID. All in all, I am grateful to finally go to the vet and not get devastating news and it did quit raining. The nurse took our girls back after getting a history on Odessa and update on Juno. Juno has been leaving a mess for me all this week when I get home from work but seems to be feeling fine. Odessa is feeling herself and wants to run! She is more balanced and sure on floors when she used to be afraid to walk without traction. I hope there is some good news from Dr. Hillman because I sure love my mutt girls.
