Trans men are men but that doesn't mean that they're actively benefitting from the patriarchy, you guys know that, right?

You do know that just because they're men that doesn't mean they can't suffer their own type of oppression like transfems do?

You do realize that saying that trans men are basically the same as cis men is subtextually saying that you would like a trans man more if he was a woman, or he hadn't come out in the closet in the first place?

You do realize that transandrophobia and transmisogyny are conxepts that can and should coexist in trans activism because they aren't mutually exclusive?

You DO REALIZE that saying that all trans men are predatory in some way, shape or form is TERF rethoric about trans women and cis men except now it's directed at trans and cis men? You know that? You know that right???

I remember years ago when I was still in therapy I told my therapist that I felt bad asking my friends for help because a lot of them were also going through some bad stuff and she told me

“You know, sometimes people in crisis will enjoy helping. It can be a distraction from their own problems.”

And then the next week I reached out to a friend who was in the middle of going through something about what I was going through and my therapist was right. That friend jumped at the opportunity to help.

And I’ve realized since then that my own problems rarely have anything to do with my ability to help others with theirs unless I am literally having an attack of some kind at that moment. In fact, it is actually refreshing to work on other peoples problems with them sometimes. Listening to problems you’re not soaking in constantly and helping your friend is often something you just want to do because you care about them. And you don’t stop caring about people because you’re having a hard time right now.

So I guess sometimes inviting someone into your sinking ship does work actually.

I never said anything because I was super embarrassed but the other day I accidentally cut myself while cooking and had to go to the ER to get stitches. It sucks sooooo bad, I can't use my hand for almost two weeks and I think I'm developing some kind of paranoia about cooking and I do not want that to happen...
