SPN Artists: We're summoning you!

The SPN Angels & Demons Bang is putting out one more call for artists!

Claims will be taking place in just about two weeks (November 16-17) and the deadline to sign up as an artist is November 9. This event features both mini-bang and big-bang tracks, and we could use a few more artists based on the number of submissions coming in from writers.

This is a multi-ship/character event with lots of opportunities for artists to draw some different characters and have fun. If you have time over the next few months to create a few pieces of art, please check out our event rules (including updated schedule) and then you can fill out the sign-up form here.

Coming soon: The Destiel AU Reverse Big Bang

Calling all Destiel artists, gif makers and video creators!

One day, @hawkland and @friendofcarlotta were commiserating about how reverse bangs often were full of wonderfully creative AU ideas and scenarios, but it was hard to do them proper justice in the short writing period, and low word count, typically given for reverse bangs. So, we decided to try to launch a reverse Big Bang to fill that void!

Stories & art for this event must be focused on the relationship between Dean and Castiel in some romantic, sexual, or queerplatonic fashion that would qualify as more than simple friendship (ie, you would tag the story and/or art with a “/” and not a “&” on Archive of Our Own). Aro/ace readings of the characters are of course welcome!

Story minimum length requirement: 10,000 words

Art requirement per collaboration: 2 full illustrations or equivalent graphic/video works (For video submissions, 30 seconds per piece or one minute entirety. For gifset submissions, a minimum of 3 gifs per set, 6 in total.)

Banner/title art: Required from artist. (Can be just a crop/edit of the original piece submitted for claims.)

It's no secret that this is the Destiel website and I am a Destiel girlie. For years I've wanted to host an event that would let us come together to celebrate Dean & Cas and their queerness. This June seems the perfect time to finally commit to it! 

I know the Destiel fandom hasn't had it easy over the years - we've been called many things from delusional to perverted but the truth is that Dean & Cas' love is beautiful and deserves to be celebrated, openly and fiercly!  So let's celebrate! 💚💙

Here are 30 prompts for the 30 days in June.

All types of creations - art, fic, edits, gif sets etc. are welcome! 

You can post on the day of the prompt or later during the entire month of June. No need to do all of the prompts, pick and choose at your own pace! Please use the tag #destielpride to make sure I won’t miss any of your wonderful creations 😊

Summergen is open for 2024!

Established in 2007, Summergen is a summer gift exchange for gen SPN fanworks. Gifts are posted anonymously, and closes with a Big Reveal at the end of the challenge, where everyone gets to find out who made what!

Crowley and Bobby were attempting to enjoy a romantic moon-lit evening (in a graveyard apparently) but (unsurprisingly) things seem to have gone wrong. Luckily Bobby is always prepared and came packing the salt rounds. Plus Juliette is fabulous at digging for bones. However Crowley is not exactly amused - that suit is Armani

Summary:

There are plenty of artifacts and objects in the Bunker that weren’t properly documented or identified for any number of reasons. This, of course, means that there’s always a fair chance that they’ll stumble upon something that has unwanted side effects.

A month after Dean managed to rescue Cas from the Empty, Dean still hasn't managed to loosen the knot in his throat that's stopping him from addressing all the shit that Cas said. Instead, the pair are organizing the artifact storage room when Cas looks into a mirror he shouldn't have. Now, Cas is being forced to re-live his regrets as the memories dole out physical retribution while Dean scrambles to not lose his best friend after just getting him back.
