my final comic for goku royale 2 semifinals. i lost this round and finally was knocked out of the tournament, but i still feel proud of the work i did make, and for making it this far to begin with. it was this tournament that gave me confidence as a storyteller and artist and i want to make comics that are even more grotesque and raw than these were. special thank you to rit for letting me bring fern into this round

nadia makes a new friend in fern and finally we reveal why nadia ran away and joined the tournament to begin with. drawing out the backstory this long was definitely a gamble but it was so so so satisfying to finally get to reveal it. drawing the action in this comic was a lot of fun, and writing the friendship between fern and nadia was some of the most enjoyable character writing i got to do in the tournament.

the emotional weight of this comic after building up the reveal of nadia's backstory for 5 rounds almost makes me forget that this mostly takes place in beavis and butthead's house

easily the comic i had the most fun working on throughout the tournament. this round was a 1v1v1v1 which was tough but thanks to concerning amounts of caffeine and determination i made it through the meat grinder. i had a lot of fun playing the characters off each other. the page where peach and nadia hug is probably one of my favorite pages i've drawn. for this setting i put mogh's blood temple on top of a real life skyscraper. fun fact: the cover is an actual photo i took of a thresher shark that a fisherman caught on a pier i visited

my round 3 comic for goku royale 2 ft. agnes sadia and her evil ass haunted instrument by @/doctahbroken on discord and a cameo from @l-mop's ambergris.

nadia is on the run and finds herself in mystery flesh pit national park. hilarity ensues.

i got ambitious with this comic, and while i think my later work is better in terms of pacing and polish, i had a lot of fun drawing body horror and gross backgrounds. i think around here is where nadia's character arc pivots more towards feelings of grief i was dealing with at the time.

i think in my goku 2 run i was in a dark place mentally. after i made this comic i had conflicted feelings about the way i ended it. but at the time it was well received, and i eventually felt more confident in my artistic vision for nadia

finally uploading my goku royale 2 oct comics from 2023. here is round 1 featuring mora gone by @kiaryn-ledgem

every character in this tournament is a fan character forced to fight to the death

i lost this round but i had a lot of fun with the action and paneling. for some reason mora gone sounded like liam neeson talking like a pirate in my head even though she was supposed to have a new jersey accent.

yes they are fighting in action park.
