"Desperate, hungry people in Gaza continue to face the inhumane choice of either starving to death or risk being killed while trying to get food,” UN spokesperson Thameen al-Kheetan said in Geneva.
” But here in Gaza… we no longer speak of choices — because we no longer have any,” This is what @zinaanqar16 father told me
Ahmed, a father of four, sits helplessly as his infant daughter cries without tears — her mother has no milk left, and hope has vanished from his eyes.
He told me:
"If I stay, I die with them in silence. If I go out, I may die alone. But I can’t bear to watch them starve and do nothing." He’s not asking for a dignified life — just a piece of bread to extend his children's lives by one more day. Just one can of baby formula… to keep his daughter from dying slowly.
In Gaza, fatherhood means offering your body to feed your children. It means becoming a potential martyr just to bring home a sip of water. It means walking into death — only to delay the death of those you love.
What kind of world is this? What conscience allows a people to be trapped between starvation and fire?
Save those who remain in Gaza… before silence becomes a mass death certificate. Please donate help Zeina’s Family

Happy Pride to those consistently ostracized from the queer community for being atypical from the rest. For not being "gay enough" or "straight passing". For having a gender alignment that doesn't follow traditional standards and often gets mocked. For those who don't feel the love and affection that others do and are spoken down to or pushed away for it.
For those excluded by the people who wish to enforce the status quo rather than accept their peers. We are all under the same rainbow 🌈

i don’t know how to explain to you people that no matter what a country’s government is like i do not and will not support the US indiscriminately bombing that country’s civilians and i don’t know why that’s a controversial take tbh

It has come to my attention that some people do not know about the genocide in Ghazzah. I don't know how they are not aware of it over the past 20 months, but they express ignorance when you ask them. There is another group where they do know about it - at least from a surface level - but they are not well informed on the harsh conditions families would go through everyday. They don't know that a blockade is in place. They don't know that aid is restricted, and when it does become available, it is sold at exorbitant prices!
Even with the BDS movement, there are those who don't know if they should boycott Microsoft, Coco Cola, or other targeted companies.
So it makes me wonder if these people are choosing to not know. Yes, there is much less attention on Ghazzah. It is about Iran and the settler colony now. This is intentional. Journalists are targeted and murdered. International press is not allowed. But why do we need the news when we have easy access to social media? There are pictures, testimonies, and videos right at our fingertips!
This is why we need to keep talking about Palestine. Keep boycotting, donating, and protesting! Please consider helping my friend, Ruba's, fundraiser! She and her family are in the North. They are exhausted from the constant displacement and their health is deteriorating! Remember: You can give as little as $1 since Chuffed accepts such amount!

It doesn't make me feel better at all when people tell me "but I didn't know you're autistic" as a justification for misunderstanding me or giving me a hard time. In fact, it makes me feel worse.
I know I was never malicious. I was never trying to be difficult. I was not intentionally being "bad". I didn't know what to do. I was floundering in the dark, trying to navigate a world not made for me without a manual, wondering what memo I was missing, what was wrong with me, because things that seemed to be so easy for others remained stubbornly out of my grasp. And I blamed myself. I cried myself to sleep over it.
And they used that against me. Because I was different and socially inept, because they thought I was weird and out of sorts, and instead of being kind and helping me, they burned me and further isolated me.

Saw some of this on BlueSky, but in case anyone needs it: CDC recommended immunization schedules, Wayback Machine-archived from 2024.
Birth to 6 Years Old
7 to 18 Years Old
Adulthood
Don't rely on Internet Archive either, download these as PDFs (you can do that from the "print" link on the archived page).
If you're a parent, tell your doctor that you want these vaccines on this schedule for your child, even if/when the CDC changes their recommendations.
If you're an adult, or soon to be, and believe you may have missed any of these vaccines as a child, talk to your doctor about accessing your vaccination record and getting caught up. Many (most?) states also have an online vaccination record lookup.

Like it's funny, nobody is saying that the Islamic Republic of Iran is good. Nobody even likes Khamenei, but lest you forget the Iraq war, overthrowing that leadership and replacing it with a western puppet is gonna do more harm than good.

Funding Education in Gaza
The genocide has completely upended normal life for all Gazans, including their access to education. Isnad (@isnadfoundation) is helping to provide education to students in Gaza. You can learn more about Isnad and the incredible work that they do on their website.
Currently, they are trying to raise $3,500 (USD) for rent and to continue operating to serve students in Gaza. So far, they've received about $2k/3.5k, and they still have $1.5k to go. The foundation is on a deadline and only has 2 days left. This is an urgent, time-sensitive situation. If they don't receive the funds they need, Isnad will not be able to help provide education to students in Gaza any longer.
This is the link to donate to Isnad if you're able. If you can't donate yourself, then please send the link to anyone you know who has the means. Reblog their posts, share their fundraiser, and help them get the funds they need before it's too late!

Lykoi the werewolf cat breed
So I’m not going to be arguing because I’ve seen enough from enough owners over the years to have reached this conclusion, and I’m not in well enough health to come back to this. But I’m seeing the lykoi breed get more attention around tumblr lately, and I’ve gotta speak up because the breed has a dirty little secret.
I joined the Lykoi Lovers group years ago because I loved this breed, they’re super cute! I love werewolves! However, over the years, as more people got these cats, and their cats aged up (3-5+yo is when skin issues become REALLY evident) the group turned into a horror show.
This mutation really reminds me of lemon frost in leopard geckos. In the geckos, it was the desirable appearance which CAUSED the cancerous tumors. It wasn’t something that could be bred out. Similarly, it is the werewolf appearance which causes the skin issues, cysts, pimples, bleeding in the cats. You can breed away from it… and end up with a normal looking cat with fewer skin issues. You cannot seem to keep the werewolf look AND have good skin.
More below, and it IS graphic so be warned. Pus, blood, sad cats under the cut.

Important alert
Hey everyone, I wanted to share an important update about the Ihyaa’ initiative in Gaza. As some of you know, we’re working to create a stable, supportive space for university students in Ghazzah students who have been displaced, cut off from their universities, or trying to continue their education under incredibly difficult circumstances.
Our team on the ground, led by Mohammed Ayesh, has been doing everything they can to make this happen. After months of searching, they finally found a space that could serve as a classroom and study center. But this isn’t just about a room it’s about restoring a sense of structure, normalcy, and hope for students who are determined to keep going in the face of crisis
However, we haven’t been able to rent the space yet. The first payment is $2,000, and so far, we haven’t been able to raise that amount. Donations have slowed, but the need remains in fact, it’s growing. The room is ready, the students are ready, but we need your support to open the doors.
This isn’t a campaign built on sympathy. It’s built on partnership on the belief that education is a vital part of how Gaza survives and rebuilds. These students aren’t waiting for the war to end to start building. They’re doing it now page by page, class by class.
If you are looking for a meaningful way to support Gaza and be part of its reconstruction, this is one of the first steps you can take and here is also the donation link for this campaign and start helping

Unfortunately for Nader and his family, these futures have been taken from Gaza. Bullets fly all around them, and the occupation uses aid as a weapon while children starve. My friend Nader @abdalsalam2000 needs our support now to save his family and survive. His campaign is #4 on the gazavetters list, and the need is urgent! If you cannot donate, PLEASE share! https://www.gofundme.com/f/help-nader-alanqar-and-his-family-overcome-this-war-in-gaza

One thing I feel like I need more of is an exploration of the “friendship” part of the friendmance with Fenris.
Like I feel like a lot of the fic I’ve read of Fenhawke (particularly mage!Hawke) are more on the antagonistic side. And like, I get it Fenris hates mages blah blah blah but also….
Maxing out his friendship implies Fenris like…..actually likes you. Genuinely, as a friend. Whether you’re a mage or not. But most fics I’ve read with him still involve him being a grumpy boy whenever Hawke comes around and like?????
I just like the idea of a slow burn friends to lovers with Fenhawke. Like maybe they even consider each other their Best friend. And then after act 2 instead of this perpetually awkward vibe between them they slowly ease back into just being friends. I like the idea of a Hawke who Gets Fenris, as much as they can. Who gets why he left, even if it hurts. Maybe they even agree with him on some level that yeah, they Did move too fast.
Idk bro Fenris just has such a strained and distant relationship with most ppl in his life… I want him to at least have One relationship with someone that is vastly more easy and comfortable than anything else (that someone being Hawke in this instance cause I live for the mushy gushy niceness)
I just…… looovve the friendmance for Fenris it makes me happy thinking he has Hawke to call his best friend. Just a couple of buds.
