They are rivals, I think that Motley likes to try one-upping Lemmy a lot with his own accomplishments ever since they've been in clown school (this works on the basis that being a clown is more respectable than being part of the army, which it is)

What do Kiiro and Buru think of the Toad Brigade?

The two of them look up to them since they're some of the few Toads out here doing things. When they met them they reacted like they were meeting their favorite celebrities which surprised the brigade (since they're just regular dudes) but since they Brigade has been hired by Peach to be her royal explorers, they're all pretty chill now
