hi ! so yes she does make pop music, but my understanding of “punk” is that it’s mainly about your values.

just like goth is a music based subculture. you don’t have to wear all black clothes and love bats to be goth. it’s about the music.

i see punk culture as the same way. it’s anti-authoritarian, anti-establishment, speaking up for minorities and marginalized groups. which is all things i’ve seen chappell do.

punk/alt is about rejecting the status quo.
