The Florida Department of Environmental Protection (FDEP) announced an initiative yesterday proposing major changes to various State Parks throughout Florida.

Today, with only one week's notice, FDEP announced public meetings throughout the state scheduled for 3 p.m. on Tuesday, August 27th. The meetings will consist of a presentation and an opportunity for public comment, but with only an hour allotted, they do not appear to include a question-and-answer period.

To voice your concerns about these proposals and the lack of public participation, send your customizable email to the Governor, the Secretary of FDEP, and your state representatives. Adding your connection to Florida's State Parks in the email can help them understand how important this issue is to you, their constituent.

CUTE MASS EFFECT HEADCANON TIME (MOST OF WHICH HAVE LITTLE-TO-NO BASIS IN CANON) (POTENTIAL SPOILERS)

Tali, after ME1, fell in love with old spaghetti westerns, and trained herself how to quickdraw. Sometimes Adams, Gabby, or Ken will catch her practicing one-liners for when she's in the field (“Feeling lucky, Bosh'tet?”).

In every circumstance except for point-blank, Liara cannot aim for shit, and has more than once shot Shepard in the ass (and apologized profusely for it, afterward).

Shepard introduced the alien squad members to “old” Earth music, and will regularly blast it in the Mako, Shuttle, or Hammerhead. At first, they either rolled their eyes (Wrex and Grunt), or found it curious/outright enjoyable (Tali, Liara, Thane). By the third time Shepard plays music, everyone is singing along as loud as they can.

After the war (shhhh, Audemus' Happy Ending mod is canon to me, shhhh), Shepard introduces the alien squaddies to Christmas, and Wrex enlists the help of Garrus, Zaeed, Jack, and Grunt to try to kill Santa Claus. They end up falling asleep near the chimney, huddled up in a cuddle pile.

Shepard 100% bought the model kits (at first) just to waste Cerberus funds, because they are just THAT petty sometimes. They did later realize that the kits did serve as a nice distraction.
