Hypothetical: time travel is real, but you only get to use it ONCE (one round trip to the past and then back to the present), purely to observe– you can't change anything, and you won't catch a disease or get injured by animals/natural disasters/etc. You can stay as long as you want, but will still die within your expected (modern) life span (i.e. no "Observing all of human history only counts as one use! 🤓" and so on).

i think it's fucked up that there are plants that decided they wanted to eat meat
#a warning for grossness but#a famous grower in the carnivorous plant community once fed his venus flytraps chunks of his own shed athletes foot skin#to see if they could digest it#and yes#they could#but even if an audrey 2 sized flytrap was fed a whole human corpse it would probably die or be badly damaged from sheer nutrient overload

... Figured out that eating peanuts was probably the cause for my ears being all clogged and crackly for the last week, based on the fact that when I stopped eating a couple of handfuls a day as a snack it took less than a day for my ears to drain and stop crackling completely
#that seems. bad#i should probably add those to the list of forbidden foods :/#just a godawful experience all around#nothing will make you into an angry misanthrope faster than hearing loud crackling in your ears every time someone is talking to you#and the feeling of ear blockages draining is just gruesome#-1000000/10 would not recommend
