Are you a metalhead and also a videogame fan?

A combination never seen before.

If you don't know GaMetal yet, let me tell you, I'm jealous. Because you'll be discovering him by today and you'll get the joy of finding a real good gem.

GaMetal is what you might think: videogame music covers but with the good ol guitar riffs, fast drums, bass and more elements to translate this tunes into the metal genre. All played separately and remixed by the same man.

Althought he's already pretty well known around Youtube, I believe Jonny deserves all the fan love he gets and more. He's been working hard and nonstop since... I was a young intern at a big company. That was probably 10 years ago.

Well, no, actually, he has been covering game music since 2011.

Macabre and glam 💀💅

Descriptions and symbolism below

The idea for this art was to draw guro without an ounce of blood. I’ve been wanting to draw an artwork that depicts art itself and I’ve been struggling to do so, because art doesn’t have strict definitions and has many shapes and forms; most art are methods of communication, but not everyone shares their art or shows them all to others, but ALL art share one similarity: they have a voyeur, an observer; be it the artist or others, art is to be seen, or heard, felt. So I decided include yall in this painting, yes, you, the audience of my art; anyone who was unfortunate enough to come across a murder scene (he’ll be fine… after sometime) and now you’re part of my sick project without wanting to (or perhaps you grow fond of the idea) I depicted this by drawing a large mirror reflecting the audience behind him, our unfortunate victim.

I think this artwork can be interpreted through a contemporary lens as well. The audience are all faceless, which describes the most of people who are subjects to our art on social media, the object to be seen and observed. They don’t care a murder has happened before their eyes, it’s art to be consumed, not to be empathized with or understood. The only one whose face is bared for all to see, is our object. Paparazzi imagery could’ve worked really well to get this message across but a theater simply looks more aesthetically pleasing.

We also had the chance to have a quick chat with the only member of the band: Morkash.

As we approach the study, we see a small shy black rooster sitting on a chair reading Pride and Prejudice. His feathers gleam with all the colours of the rainbow when he quickly stands up and introduces himself.  Morkash? Nice to meet you, my name's Elsa, from Quo Avis? magazine. 

Morkash: Nice to meet you, Elsa. Yes, I'm Morkash. However, my real name is Thomas. You can call me either way. 

Were you reading Pride and Prejudice? 

Morkash: Yes, you know, I like to rest from work by doing something quiet. This is quite my main hobby, aside from music, which is not a hobby anymore I guess *he laughs.* 

What was your job before being a musician? 

Morkash: Playboy. 

What an interesting job to tell at parties. I guess it’s not the kind of jobs you want to quit, but what made you resign and choose the hard life of an artist? 

Morkash: I spent one year travelling. Seeing the world. I saw many wonders, but also injustice. That made me angry. When I arrived home, that anger didn’t disappear. Believe, nothing made it go away. So, I decided to tell the world how I felt. 

In your EP, you mix punk with many genres, sometimes metal, sometimes jazz, even a chorus in the last track, A.F.A.P. Can you tell us the reason? 

Morkash: Well, I believe that music, much like emotions, have infinite shades, so I wanted to play with as many as possible. By the way, the chorus you hear in the last track is sang by Avelina and Hestia. 

By this point, Morkash (Thomas) had to leave to attend other matters, as he’s become a sensation across the Island. He, however, does not leave us without a last note: 

Morkash: I’ve read the first issue and all I can say to the readers is: always stay concerned.

The stillness of the summer holidays seems to have been broken by the rumours of incoming Stormy Days. 

When asked, Bennu Malak remains silent, yet confident: “I have a plan”, he says. 

On the other side of the table, his opponent, Don Touton says: “And it better not be hiding your head”. 

Sports

After his 15th victory, Joe DiPelicano, from the Sea Monsters, is very positive about his next match against the Red Shoes:

"If I don't win this Saturday, I'll eat my bat. Y'know what, I'm gonna eat it now."

He then proceeded to swallow the bat whole.

Weather

Giant holes have been spotted in the middle of the sea. The Council has issued an urgent warning.

Sure, I divide it into 3 tips:

Learn to listen 

Use the appropriate bait 

Time is the essence 

You should know your bait:

Apple → Regular worm | Base of many recipes. 

Mulberry leaf → Silkworm | Soft in tongue, pairs good with white wine. 

Something rotten → Maggot | Crunchy when dry! 

Money → A banker | Much like a maggot but very toxic. Do not ingest. 

No bait → Spectral worm | Low calorie snack. 

Ancient words of chaos → Dimensional worm | Spicy.
