oh my god stanley pines the man the myth the legend.

i am so obsessed with fictional family dynamics, and i love stanley for how complicated his is. never going home out of a desperate unachievable goal to make millions and to buy back the love he felt in his youth, waiting by payphones to catch a snippet of the voice a brother who (he thought) wanted nothing to do with him. it’s not pride stopping him from accepting help, but the fear of being rejected or abandoned if he reaches out when he hasn’t earned it…. MULLET STANLEY ID KILL FOR YOU

and he never had to earn it goddamn it!! the pines family love is unconditional!!!! the power of mabel AND dipper (because he’s pretty emotionally intelligent too!! They both just suffer from being preteens sometimes lol it happens) are like. Ideal Pines Family Love if that makes sense. I dunno!!! This grumpy old man with a heart of gold has stolen my heart ❤️ don’t even get me started with him and ford……. The miscommunication brothers make me wanna scream.
