ares sister calypso also found family in ani and lina. constantly spending weekends at the ranch. ani specifically has found a bestfriend in cal. she finds her to be welcoming and warm and fun to be around. months after settling in calypso called ares begging to let her come stay with him indefinitely. he talked with the girls and they said yes without a second thought. calypso is family. ares felt grateful to have part of his family closer and ani felt excited to have her around so often. cal is a relatively dependent person in comparison to her siblings, yet still feels alone a lot of the time. nothing was really wrong at home, but still, in her head there were problems with her parents she could not deal with. both iris and connor were engaged to be married and knew their lifelong passions by cal's age and she just feels so much pressure to live up to that for them, so she ran away, taking solace in the acceptance of her new roommates and solitary of ranch life. in no time, she adopted the lifestyle even better than both ares and lina.

back home... with only her sister gaia home, and her childhood bestfriend suddenly ghosting her, orion suddenly had less family time and wayyyy more time for her girlfriend liliana.

within months, they found out they were pregnant at the age of 15. orion was excited to become a parent. with her history, being given up by her own birth parents, and the fact she never thought she would have children of her own she was immediately ready to step up even at her young age. liliana's life had just fallen apart at home, her mothers midlife crisis shortly after giving birth to another baby girl named juliet led her to cheat on her father, leave, get pregnant with twins and abandon liliana. her father hasnt recovered since and shortly later her great-grandfather passed away. that being said, when iris and connor welcomed her into their home to help her raise the baby, lily could not have felt more loved.

since the girls moved to chestnut ridge with plans to honor their great-grandparents legacy, theyve vowed to really embrace ranch life. ani herself, being older and just much fonder of the ranch trips as a kid fell into place easily. lina on the other hand did not automatically mesh into the life the same way her sister did. although, bringing her boyfriend, ares, helped a lot.

ares bonded with her sister, ani, almost immediately. it was not like ani to get along with people so well so fast, but ares had a comforting nature to him and really stepped up on the farm. after weeks of staying there just to help out, the girls agreed they would love if he could stay. when lina asked ares, he said yes. ares could not imagine being anywhere but with the girl he loved and felt grateful for this new walk of life.

ani formed many new interests with plants/animals, bought back her great-grandparents horse coconut, got several more farm animals and a big dog named daisy. as for lina and ares, they kept their interests and found new ones. lina got a regular comedy gig at a local saloon, and discovered a love for horseriding, despite its difficulty. ares was never extremely fond of music, but it was in his blood and he kept up with the guitar on smore's nights at the ranch, along with that he found he enjoyed making nectar and found the way they age and make a huge profit to be a beloved hobby of his. with a new home and new lifestyle, the three have decided to make a home out of this new place of theirs.

Ani and Lina currently

★ Angelina, nicknamed Lina, and Anastasia, who only goes by ani, grew up very close despite being opposites. Raven haired Angelina gets her looks from her mother, while ani gets her long golden hair from her father’s side of the family. Ani, being the socially awkward girl, she is has always had a difficult time standing up for herself, luckily her sister lina has always been there to back her up. Which is how everything came to a head just over a year ago. After years in the closet, someone at school outed Ani to her parents. They did not react well but instead of confronting it, chose to pretend it never happened and honestly, pretend ani didn’t even exist. Months went by like this until Lina could not take the treatment of her sister anymore and the entire family home exploded into yelling and crying. Ani said nothing the whole night but nothing could be said that would change their mind on the situation. By the end of the night the two had a few of their things packed and were out of the house. For over a year the sisters couch surfed on friends couches but were quickly running dry on homes where they have not yet overstayed their welcome. One day ani took a big risk and applied for a short term job in the town of strangerville to try and help improve their ecosystem. As for now, the both of them are sharing a VERY small and VERY humble trailer home in the town’s trailerpark, awaiting their next move. Little do they know back home their aunt Aria just recently got word of a gift their late great grandparents left to them. 

Anastasia Rios - (Ani)

★ Ani is a shy girl with a huge love of exploring outside and caring for animals. Even if she is often awkward, she loves being kind to others and making friends with people around town. Unlike her harder to lock down sister, ani had a long-term relationship in her early teen years, although nothing very deep or special. Everyone expected her to marry him, but the relationship came to a sudden end one day when ani had a sudden revelation, she had feelings for a school friend of hers. For years, Angelina was the only person Ani was out to and she has not dated anyone except for her ex-boyfriend. Ever since that friend of hers harshly rejected her and cut off their friendship, ani has not been interested in opening herself up to anyone. Especially not with everything that has happened in the past year and a half. Even though she is not looking for a romantic relationship anytime soon, Ani craves to be deeply rooted in a community of her own and to adopt a big rescue dog.

☆ Angelina isn’t all confident and straightforward, she’s very playful and lighthearted, always finding something to laugh about. She has yet to find her passion in life but is currently an amateur entertainer. People always assume she's outgoing because of her never wavering confrontational personality, but she usually keeps to herself and is often quieter than talkative, Aside from her devotion to her sister, Lina yearns for closer connection and is a huge romantic. She prefers to take relationships one step at a time, which has caused her to have little to no experience in relationships, aside from one brief ex-boyfriend from the past. The last couple weeks she has been seeing ares, and while she has been consistent with taking it slow, she also knows she has never felt this way before and his kind and respectful way of pursuing her makes her want to throw caution out and move faster with him. Angelina finds herself being content anywhere her heart is, which is why she is willing to follow her sister anywhere that makes ani happy.  

Family Backstory 

★ Ani and Lina grew up wealthy, their father Alonzo being a big name in the corporate world of Oasis Springs, and their mother Amina being raised since a small child to marry rich and keep up a polished lifestyle.  Ani and lina’s ancestors prided themselves on their successful ranches, continuously preparing their children for the ranch life as well. This lasted for many decades, until Ani and Lina’s grandparents fell in love, and vowed to have a bigger life in the city. After many years the two were still not as successful as they always wished. Bitter with the turnouts of life, they decided if they could not have it, their children would. Their mother Amina, and aunt Aria did quite well in fulfilling their own parents' wishes of escaping the generations of family before them. Amina accomplished everything they hoped, she married a rich man, lived the life of a stereotypical housewife, and gave birth to two beautiful daughters. Aria, on the other hand, went a different route, yet still not straying from her parents' wishes. She is now a successful lawyer, although single and childless as she has always focused on her career. She is not extremely close with either lina or ani but has a supportive family dynamic with them both. A couple of years after the girls were born, their great grandparents, Marie and Dakota found out about what was going on at home. Unhappy with the way their parents and grandparents prioritized money and status over them, they welcomed the girls to stay on the ranch with them every single summer, and even weeks here and there during the school year. Unfortunately, around age 13 both of their great grandparents had passed, and the girls were back to nannies and home in Oasis Springs full time. As far as anyone knew, their great grandparents left nothing to the family they no longer were close with and gave their small fortune away to the town they loved their whole lives. In reality, they left the property to Ani and Lina in hopes the girls would take good care of it. But because they were just children their grandmother was the only one who knew of what the girls would get as soon as they were 18 and kept this from the entire family. She tried for years to sell it but none of the people from the town allowed anyone to go against Marie and Dakotas wishes. Months after the girls left home, their grandmother passed and their aunt Aria, being a lawyer, took over all her mother’s business. Which is where she found the will stating the beloved ranch in Chestnut Ridge belonged 50/50 to nobody but Anastasia and Angelina Rios.

★ Iris (older redhead) a top of the chain food critic and famous writer and her retired rockstar with a world tour under his belt Connor (older brunette with a beard) are highschool sweethearts who are still raising 5 diverse and full of life children with greek mythology inspired names.

☆ The oldest is atlas (glasses, always shirtless???) a talented freelance programmer and lifetime geek but he also is recently married to Ikari after a very fast moving relationship. Ikari is a Sulani native and together the two are raising a beautiful newborn baby named Hali'a who is biologically Ikari's through the help of a friend and surrogate.

★ The second oldest is named Ares! (brunette with red hoodie) His whole life he's been very interested in sports and athletics, and had no issue making friends. Childhood crush cassie, first girlfriend kassandra, second girlfriend yuki and brief talking stage ren, nobody has ever felt quite right until he met lina new years eve night at a huge party in the nearest city between the towns they live in. Despite the distance the two have managed to see each other often. He always expected to go to college, but now that he is taking a gap year he has a feeling life will take him elsewhere.

☆Third born is Calypso! (long brown hair) She was a huge daddy's girl when she was younger as her dad was so in and out of the house with tour, so as a result she is a childhood music prodigy with the mentorship of her dad. She graduated highschool at 16 and is taking a break before pursuing more, deep down knowing music is not her passion. She used to be a firecracker kid but grew up to be unsure of herself and scared of disappointing her father. Other than flirting here and there with her friend juno, and being heavily pursued by her friend pierce (who she always rejected) she has never found anyone, what she truly wants is to find her place in life at all.

★ Fourth born is gaia! (redhead pigtails) gaia was a surprise baby conceived after a quick visit home while connor was on tour. growing up gaia always struggled with her academics. both her siblings excelled and easily too while she found it hard to keep up with any of it. Once a teen, she grew into herself and gained a lot of confidence, but also noticed she differed from her biological siblings a lot. Her body type was completely different, and she did not take after her father's features and hair color like her older siblings did, which made her that much closer to her little sister orion. Aside from that, gaia has not craved finding a passion much but spends a lot of her time in very spontaneous and impulsive relationships with all genders, each ending soon after messing around, aside from her recent relationship with her new boyfriend sydney...

☆ Youngest is orion! once gaia was getting older iris and connor decided to adopt another baby, as they were very successful, had the means to support another child and even talked about it when they were younger. orion was adopted at age 4 and while she struggled somewhat being adopted into a family with four other children, her biggest struggles were actually growing up trans, mtf. Luckily her parents had always accepted her and even from a young age planned to get her gender affirming care. To everyone else she has a high self esteem and a lot of confidence, which she does thanks to her high success in everything she strived for as a kid, but deep down is still sorting through inner insecurities. She recently aged into a teen and spends all her time with her bestfriend myung-hee and girlfriend lilliana, and meditating.
