I think I need to take a break from Fantasy-Romance for a while so decided to re-read a Paranormal Romance book I found available on Audible that I enjoyed last time!

So I will say this, anyone (any author) who attempts to bring biblical characters into their stories and give them life should be praised for attempting such a thing because good or bad it’s not an easy thing. Not a simple thing by any means.

I’m not particularly religious myself (but my parents had very religious upbringings one Christian and the other Catholic!) so I tend to get a bit nervous when any book by any author attempts anything remotely religious-related because of reasonsssss but … I don’t hate it.

I forgot how much I love Suzanne Wright’s writing. It can read as quite funny and hilarious at times

Urgh. STRONG DNF.

Lmao I haaaaad to with this one you guys … The story might have even been half decent and I maybe could have enjoyed it … if I hadn’t got the Audio via Audible. The Male narrator, Just terrible, so awful I couldn’t take in anything he was saying because just NO. Shame because the female narrator was solid.

It was kinda new for me because I usually can get on board with male narrators and it’s usually the female narrator I have trouble with but nope! Not this time.

Maybe in a few months/a year’s time I’ll try and read a physical or Kindle version but for right now it’s a No.

Hmmmm so … can we talk about the vampires in this book because… idk it just seems / feels so random and I didn’t expect it if I’m honest.

I mean I don’t know exactly what I expected but with the title of this and everything I think I assumed it would be just fae or elven-esq.

I don’t know if I like it or what to make of it yet either, I mean they mentioned ‘blood drinking’ pretty damn quickly so it’s gonna happen … like it will be a point in this book so … I mean I’ll usually read anything, and I mean ANYTHING that has vampires so I’m not throwing in the towel I just … yeah … I don’t know about it right now I guess.

Let’s see what happens …. Yikes !!!!🫣🤔

So I finished A Court This Cruel & Lovely. Very underwhelming tbh. Idk really maybe 2.5 stars ? Yeah ✨✨
