Been rewatching the show with my family, who haven't seen it, and desiring to draw some silly stuff for it!

These two have so much comedic potential if they were to truly interact with each other. They would be such gremlins to each other and it would be hilarious.

On my struggles with making HCs

What really frustrates me about making headcanons of established characters, is the fact that i still want them to live/act in the same cultural context in which their franchise/series canonically takes place. If KNY (Kimetsu no Yaiba) is set in Taisho era Japan, i want my headcanon events set in..Taisho era Japan! Soooo......I do some research on what cultural practices were prevalent during that time. You might think that "But thats what HCs are for! So you can do whatever you want with the characters, without restrictions," well see, i do that too! It's just, i want my HCs to at least retain key aspects of the characters that make them who they are (aspects that are linked to their culture). With shows like kny, heavily referencing cultural elements, its jus so hard for me, and even if i put them in a modern day setup, i still know nothing about modern day Japanese culture. I often envy people who can make fanarts of such shows, and reference culture at the same time. (Note: Yea, i know about AUs. Dont think that ive never done them.)

This is MY take on HCs. Doesnt have to be yours too, if you somehow disagree with me :DD

Can you imagine the comedy of Red Son hanging out with Mk or something and Mk starts trying to be angsty and self-deprecating and blaming himself and all that and

Mk: the Lady Bone Demon was my fault

Red Son: she really wasn’t, my family literally freed her

Mk: Spider Queen was my responsibility, if I hadn’t-

Red Son: again, my family’s fault, the only reason she was able to do anything was because of the Lady Bone Demon was freed and powered her

Mk: but it was my fault she was freed, the key-

Red Son: which my family stole from you and used directly and personally to unlock her from her prison

I jus read someone say in one particular LMK season 5 yt vid that "clearly the writers were the same" even though the show changed studios. Thats good tho! They loved the writing for the latest season. I did to, Dont get me wrong! I just knew that something was...different: with the dialogue and voice direction, at least. Apparently, they were changing writers and directors so often during this season. I think the scene with those hooded guardians was what gave it off? Or that scene with Pigsy at the end of ep 1? Honestly, cant really help but miss the writer and director for most of the eps for the first 4 seasons, but hey, they did great in this 5th one! If youre really curious...

What I'm mostly not-so fond of this season was the voice direction. THE ACTORS DID A FANTASTIC JOB (ok?), it's just the voice direction that i wished was handled better (in SOME parts). Hey, Feel free to disagree, but i encourage to do so kindly, yea? Ok, this season made me laugh tbh, genuinely. 💯🔥 (Not claiming, nor assuming, that this post is original lol)

I really CANT GET OVER this soundtrack! All the trio's themes mushed together. Love it so much. Love the techno music. Is it techno music? Anyways.. Mei's string intro, Red's electric guitar, and MK's drums (i guess???)...Dont forget Pigsy's high note LOL. Trully wished they did like, a full version of this OST. Also, I—uh...wasnt paying attention. I think I like Mei's early spiky hair better. Might do some noodlez
