Imo i think limiting it to 1 first place per solo instead of 1 first place per dancer is a good compromise. Its not like kids are going to get 5 extra solos just to keep winning. So theoretically after maybe 3 first places the dancer will still be done bc they have no more solos to compete with

Oh no, I hate that PP rule about 1st place. Not to be a “everyone should get a trophy” person, but you’re now going to see just a handful of the strongest kids traveling around collecting 1st place plaques. IMO it was a good thing that some of those kids got knocked out of contention so others could have a chance too.

i totally get that. i think they could reconsider if they are seeing a lot of convention hopping. but since it’s their first year having people compete at multiple cities helps
