Tsubasa takes in the air around her, preparing herself mentally for the long day ahead of her.

Exploring has gotten easier with the help of their partners, but… it still stress them out, sometimes.

"I should go find the others… Maybe they’ve already decided on what we’ll do today."

Tsubasa blinks once, twice. Her eyelids feel incredibly heavy. A yawn escapes her mouth.

A step forward. A mistake.

Tsubasa falls on the floor, asleep.

She takes a moment to process Hiruko’s words, but she eventually nods. Tsubasa doesn’t seem completely happy about it, but at the very least, it seems that they’ve been reassured somewhat.

"I understand. Thank you for telling me this."

After a small pause, Tsubasa adds, "If I can help you more, don’t hesitate to ask. I’ll do my best."

"Hiruko? I’m finally finished with what you asked."

They shuffle uncomfortably.

"Are you sure you’re only going to use it as a last resort? I know what Takumi said about Eito, but…"

"I promise it will absolutely only be a last resort."

She hesitates. She doesn't want to share any more, especially if it will put Tsubasa in danger, but she also doesn't want to loose their trust.

"...I'm thinking about trying to find a way to take control of the bombs from Sirei too. We still need some measure against Aotsuki, but he'll be safer with us in control than him."

Usually, it’s not a problem for Dexter to hang around when they’re working on something. In fact, the company is appreciated, given how long it can take her.

It definitely was one right now, though.

She couldn’t take the stress of having him beg for her attention while she was messing with the broken body of the not-so-Sirei. All to give Hiruko the power to control Eito’s bomb…

They still felt awful about it.

Tsubasa had heard about what he’d done from Takumi, but still… It was crazy to think she was a part of this at all.

"Dexter, I gotta stay focused. You can go wander around the academy if you wanna, but I can’t take care of you right now."

Tsubasa have you ever heard of the bagger 293. It was (assuming it’s gone now) the biggest machine ever made that extracted around 40 million tons of lignite annually to power a city. Doesn’t that sound like insane

No, I’ve never heard about something like that before, but it’s so… amazing. I wish I could see that baby with my own eyes!

They take a quick peek at the not-exactly-Sirei, as if evaluating the work — honestly, the hardest part would really just be keeping it a secret from Sirei.

And, well, still being to sleep at night knowing she gave them a quick and easy way to take down Eito. Good nights haven’t exactly been her priority in a while, though…

"When do you need it? As soon as possible, I imagine, but I’ll keep it in mind if you have a deadline."
