Dog Days Are Over I initially sketched this when I graduated college, riding the high of that accomplishment. I have since determined that the dog days are not, in fact, over. But the end of the year feels like a good time to steel my determination to turn that around. So here's some practice with some more painterly techniques. I'll only get better from here.

I made another stop motion animation thing. This was the final assignment for the same course I made the stratacut for. DEFINITELY not perfect, but I worked hard and learned :)

Made a stratacut visualizer-style animation for a class. Rudimentary, but I like it. Song is “Requiem for a Fish” by the Freak Fandango Orchestra.

Eldauran Mimikyu, based on the Fresno Nightcrawler.

Instead of mimicking Pikachu, Mimikyu in the Eldaurum region fashion makeshift clothing to fit in with humans in big cities, with varying levels of success.

Spectacreep, based on the Brocken Spectre/Dark Watchers

They watch humans from high in the mountains, hiding in the black fog their bodies produce. Nobody knows why they spy on humans, nor much else about them, but they’ve been said to help lost travelers find their way.

Fakemon. I’ll eventually try to flesh out a region/story for them to inhabit, but for now I’m having fun just designing ‘mon :)
