When did you start shipping Starker? And how did it happen? What first attracted you to them?

I started shipping them in January 2019 (five months before Endgame I know heartbreaking 😭😭😭)

I never watched an MCU movie prior to October 2018 but I was forced to watch the MCU by my brothers in exchange for them watching something I like. And obviously I was addicted pretty much immediately 😂 after years of being stubborn and being like “eww no I’d never watch a superhero movie so boring”. But when I reached Homecomjng idk, I just instantly saw something between them. I remember thinking immediately “wait but Peter’s 15” but then looking up Starker on Tumblr and realising other people ship it so it’s okay. And that was it. Instantly in love. Seriously though, how can someone watch Homecomjng and NOT ship them?

And what attracted me to them was just their dynamic man, it’s so GOOD. I’ve always been a sucker for “inappropriate” ships. My previous OTP was an incest (two bio brothers) ship. Okay when it comes to fics, I can’t really recommend any because I rarely read fics anymore. I really should though.

Favourite tropes? When it comes to Starker I’m more into canon-centric things. I don’t particularly like AU’s or anything too far from what we know the characters are in canon. I have a thing for Peter being underage when they start dating and I have a thing for Tony feeling extreme guilt over his feelings. I realise these aren’t really tropes but yeah. I don’t really like any specific tropes when it comes to Starker.

Personally I think Tony spent the whole of Homecoming trying NOT to want Peter. Keeping his distance, having all correspondence through Happy etc, but only because he knows if he lets himself, he’ll fall head over heels for the kid.

Eventually he can’t stay away and somewhere between Homecoming and Infinity War they start dating. It’s a lot of Tony feeling guilty and drinking to cope with his forbidden feelings for Peter, and Peter flirting and being his charming self to get Tony to be like “fuck it” and start dating.

As for coming out publicly, we pretend Endgame didn’t happen. They would have been together a while, but they wait till at least a year after Peter’s legal and then come out with it. All the Avengers knew anyway because they’re just too damn obvious.

Okay so maybe like… Tony’s staying up all night. He has a really bad habit of staying up all night or sometimes even staying awake for multiple days at a time and working in his lab. At first, Peter tries to get Tony to stop but that’s not happening, so he gets Tony to agree that if he’s staying up all night working in the lab, he HAS to be working on some sort of sex machine for Peter.
