I've heard that they apparently were supposed to include a flashback of Teela and Adam as kids in part 1 but they scrapped it for some other scene that made the cut (don't remember which one-). Wish they kept it though...

Though I will say- I've got a few headcanons/scenarios of Adam and Teela's childhood that I'd like to write out in the future one day (since there's not a lot of fanfics and stuff that I could find of them)? That's if only others would be interested in it though :)

But yes, you are so right. Teela's behaviour, in which she:

- Yelled at and blamed grieving parents who literally just lost their son, her own father and abandoned an entire kingdom just because she wasn't told an important secret (didn't even mourn for him).

- Refused to bring back magic to Eternia just because she hated magic (by the way, if it weren't for Cringer's pep talk, she would have been fine letting Eternia die and literally kill everyone else in the universe with it).

- Held a grudge against her childhood best friend even though years have passed since he was gone and dead.

- Repeatedly shut Adam down multiple times even though he was literally trying to give her closure and a proper explanation as to why he was forced to lie.

Is totally acceptable.

Sure, there is some debate on the whole bait and switch situation, maybe there was one, maybe there wasn't (but remember, Kevin Smith stated that this was a He-Man show and that he will not be stepping aside, and yet look what happened).

But seriously though, I'd be upset too if my best friend revealed a big secret then proceeded to die, that's okay. But Teela didn't bother to try and understand WHY that secret had to be hidden. She literally refused to let Adam explain his reason. If Adam publicly announced he was He-Man, Skeletor can just easily rampage through Eternos, kill Adam and everyone close to him too. I am also saying this as a woman myself (if that helps remove the assumption that I am a man with male "misogynistic" thoughts...?)

But anywho~ imagine getting THIS pissy and taking my post way too personally even though I literally expressed everything in a calm and peaceful way 😂🤡

Sooo I finally finished Masters of the Universe: Revelation (Part 2), and I have a lot to say...

I’m just gonna list my thoughts down below (there’s a lot...). I’m bound to forget some but I’ll edit them in when I do. (WARNING: THIS WILL CONTAIN LIGHT TO HEAVY SPOILERS. READ AT YOUR OWN RISK IF YOU HAVEN’T FINISHED IT ALL)

I WILL FOREVER REPLAY THE BALCONY SCENE WITH ADAM AND TEELA. EASILY MY FAVOURITE SCENE OVERALL IN THE SHOW

I love Teela’s Sorceress look! It definitely suits her WAY more than her mercenary look

I love the fact that Andra became Man-At-Arms instead of Grayskull’s new champion/the next He-Man. She suits that title more

Idk how to feel about Beast Man?? At least he’s shown to be more than Evil-Lyn’s simp though

Idk how to feel about Teela now. Her attitude was horrible in part 1. Some parts with her were okay, I feel like it was a slight improvement (no, I don’t want to talk about her moment with Adam when they were on that ship in the Mystic Mountains)

I do really like what they did with her being the new Sorceress though. She has a lot more freedom, less restricting. It’s a good different

Idk how to feel about Dark-Lyn either... (maybe it’s her motivations on why she wants to destroy the universe? I’m not sure how to explain it...) At least she got her little redemption arc

ADAM AND TEELA MOMENTS, Y’ALL BET YOUR ASSES I SAVOURED EVERY SINGLE ONE OF THEM

Loving the call-backs to the 80′s (“I am Adam, Prince of Eternia... this is my fearless friend”, “fabulous secrets...” etc.)

THEY BROUGHT BACK “YOU ROYAL BOOB” I LOVE IT

I wish we had more flashbacks like what they did with baby Teela, young Duncan and young Sorceress. I wanted to see a scene of Adam and Teela as kids

It’s nice to see Lyn’s backstory animated, it’s not all of it but it’s a nice call-back to the prequel comics

You know what wasn’t a nice call-back to the prequel comics? Skeletor’s dead family not being mentioned like- at all,,,??? You think he would but nope-

Also- THANK FUCK it was actually Randor to calm Adam down from being savage He-Man. I’m glad it got to be him so father-son closure can happen

Why did this feel low-key rushed? I felt like I missed some scenes. Maybe they should have pushed for a second season to flesh some other stuff more. Idk was that just me?

For example, the whole deal with the Orlax? Not great if someone hasn’t read the prequel comics

Another, the whole thing with Randor and Marlena’s marriage falling apart. I feel like they spent little time with it and resolved it quickly

Don’t get me started with Skelegod and savage He-Man... (not that bad, I just wished we got more?)

QUEEN MARLENA! LOOK AT HER GO! (I loved her moments with Adam, they are adorable, especially when He-Man crashed into the window of her ship and he’s just like “hi mom-”)

TEELA TELLING ADAM THAT HE IS “MY HERO” ON THE BALCONY

Lynnie’s final look at the end, she looked amazing! (I actually prefer that over her look when she summoned the power of Grayskull)

They pulled off what they did in episode 1 except with the Sorceress (Teela-Na)... ngl I saw it coming. Still didn’t like it :(

Father and daughter moments with Teela and Duncan <3 (and the fact that he’s her actual father, and don’t get me started on his relationship with Teela-Na ashghkhg my heart b u r n s)

That shit with the Motherboard cult and Skeletor was... freaky...

Still can’t get over the fact that Adam wanted to see Teela for the last time before being obliterated into himbo paradise.

Like- he could’ve decided to have a final staredown with Skeletor, or give Man-at-Arms a look of gratitude, or hell even give Cringer a reassuring smile. But nope, instead Adam decided to look behind because he wanted Teela to be the last person he ever saw before dying.

Whether you prefer their relationship to be platonic or romantic, you can’t deny that they both mean a lot to each other.

But idk I just think they’re lovely :’)

reminiscing about the x-men

a.k.a. i'm currently reliving my x-men phase and have been developing so much brainrot since then so here's my little rant about it:

i love marvel as a whole but as a kid i remember specifically focusing on the x-men at one stage. like- i used to watch a bit of the cartoons (i've always had a strong liking towards x-men: evolution, i'll chuck my two cents about that series another time) but the movies have always stood out to me when i was a child.

but now that i look back on it, i never realised how much the movies were centered around wolverine... don't get me wrong he's an interesting and good character (and hugh jackman's portrayal of him will always be amazing) but last i checked the title had the 'x-men' in it not 'wolverine and friends'? why not have the focus be on the team as a whole..?

also- another thing that really makes me both pissed and sad is how the trilogy handled cyclops. i thought this guy was meant to be the leader of the x-men, hell isn't he the first x-man in the comics? so why is it that i just noticed how much they sidelined scott and kinda made him look like an ass? (do not even get me started when they immediately killed him off so early in 'the last stand'... i've always hated that) his character is much more than that so a nice little arc of development for him would have been nice.

and it wasn't just scott. i only briefly remember seeing characters like angel, beast, kitty pryde and so many more iconic x-men that didn't have much screentime or development. i would've loved to see more of them. speaking of angel and beast, the original x-men team didn't even interact or bond much (just a missed opportunity if you ask me).

to add on, in my personal opinion, i never liked the whole wolverine x jean grey x cyclops love triangle. i finally understand why i remember seeing so much logan x jean in the movies because he was the main focus, but idk i've personally always preferred and loved jean x scott a lot more, i wish i could've seen more of this couple (also famke janssen and james marsden will always be iconic as their respective characters, i loved them as jean and scott).

i feel like i have more to say but i'm too exhausted to add on if i missed anything (i won't even start with the rebooted movies with the younger versions of the characters...). idk am i the only one who feels this way? either way in the end, should the x-men finally make their debut in the mcu, i sure as hell hope marvel studios treats their mutants well. i can't wait until then
