Kinktober is an October prompt challenge that’s been running in one form or another since 2016. Hello everyone! This is an interest check post for a winter themed Good Omens big bang we are planning to run, with the estimated posting window spanning from mid-December to the end of January, and an estimated word count of minimum 2000 words.

We know, we know, it's June right now, no one wants to think about winter activities. But as the posting period would be in winter, we thought it was the perfect time to run an interest check to see if there are enough people interested.

For the event itself, any kind of work that is centered around winter (winter activities, winter holidays, wintery vibes, etc.) would be welcome, both AU and canon setting. It is a loose theme, so you can get creative with it. Works can be as fluffy, angsty, smutty, or whumpy as you like.

To the Ocean

(the beach au has arrived)

Summary:

After months of listlessness, Gabriel insists that a solo beach vacation will lighten Aziraphale’s mood. It doesn’t. At least, until he meets Crowley, an island local. Perhaps what Aziraphale has been needing all along wasn’t the ocean, but genuine connection.

Excerpt:

Without his permission, Aziraphale’s eyes immediately scanned up and down the man’s body. He was stunning. Tall, lean, freckled from the sun, and dressed in black trousers and a matching black tee – a striking contrast to the flame flickering on his head. His short quiff shone in the daylight, all manner of shifting reds and oranges and even a tinge of yellow where the sun was brightest.

His features were sharp, and the smirk that was slowly forming on the dusty rose of his lips was even sharper, cutting through Aziraphale’s swim shorts and pressing against his skin like something hot. Oh, dear.

“Crowley,” the man said, extending a hand for Aziraphale to shake.

whoah this year's gomens pride month drawing is JC Leyendecker inspired

I obviously can't draw or paint as well as he does but I can attempt the design sensibility and the period suits! I just wanted to draw something Edwardian so it's giving "what if they had pride parades in 1908" lol. The lacy handkerchief is the Gilbert Baker pride flag with the turquoise and pink stripes included and is also supposed to evoke flagging bandanas and hankies, bc I thought it would be fun to combine time periods and ideas into one.

One of my favourite things about Watson in Granada Holmes is that he has a little hobby he indulges in (aside from observing Holmes under the microscope and documenting his findings for the world to see), namely building model ships! He does it in the Resident Patient, I think, and like??? Thats so wholesome?? And then also Mrs Hudson being supportive of his arts and crafts, like: "Your little ship is looking so great already, Dr Watson!" It's adorable okay? I love me a Watson who has fun little hobbies like this
