Carnival Fair (Epel x GN!Reader)
Tumblr media
Content Warning: Vomiting mentioned Note: Reader is implied to be the same height as or shorter than Epel
“Alright, next ride!” Epel grinned wide as his eyes scanned the carnival. “Where ‘r we goin’?”
“The Scrambler sounds fun,” Deuce said. He looked down at the small carnival map in his hands, little dots marking everything of interest. “That’s over to the right. There’s also that water ride over there,” he said as he pointed to the ride in question.
“That kiddy shit?” Epel scoffed as he smirked. “C’mon, Deuce, ya gotta have somethin’ better than that.”
“Well, when you guys are done bickering,” Ace glanced over his shoulder at you all as he walked away, “you can meet me at that coaster over there.”
The roller coaster in question was called Sunside Sweep. It looked fun, but you weren’t sure if you were ready for something so thrilling. You and your little group -Ace, Deuce, Jack, and Epel - had just eaten all that junk from the food trucks, and you knew it would come right back up if you went through even one loop. Ace would realize that soon. You knew you couldn’t stop him if you tried, so you just waved at him as he left. You scooted closer to Deuce to look at the map. “How about the little river boat ride?” you asked.
“Again, that shit’s for babies.” Epel rolled his neck, a small pop sounding from it as he groaned. “Ah want somethin’ that’ll be fun.”
“How about The Blender?” Jack piped up for the first time since lunch. “That looks fun - not too bad on the stomach, either.”
At least one other person was thinking of your digestive systems. You looked over towards the ride in question; you watched as it swung back and forth, the bottom half of its body turning as it went. Not too thrilling, yet not too boring. It was-
“Good enough, ah guess.” Epel shrugged as he started heading towards the ride. “But ah’m with Ace - ah want to get on a coaster after this.”
“Alright,” Deuce said as he folded the map and tucked it back in his jean pocket. “The Blender it is.”
You smiled and nodded as you walked after Deuce, Jack close to your side as you went. The aftertaste of cream soda and funnel cake still lingered on your tongue - so good! You hoped to get a little more sweets before you had to leave.
***
“You alright there, [Y/n]?” Epel asked as he eyed you curiously.
You sat on a bench in front of the entrance to The Blender, hunched over with your hand over your mouth. “Y-Yeah, I’ll be fine.”
Your reassurance was ill received. Jack kneeled down in front of you, ears flattened against his head. “Take it easy, alright? Maybe we should stay off of the rides for a while.”
“But the carnival closes in two hours!” you protested. “By the time it opens again, we’ll have to go back to the college. I don’t want to-” You mumbled a groan as your stomach grumbled uncomfortably. You managed to finish your sentence in a garbled whisper, “I don’t want to ruin this.”
“You won’t ruin anything,” Deuce reassured you with a smile. He sat next to you and placed a comforting hand on your shoulder. “We’ve been out here since this morning - we’ve had so much fun. We can go back to the hotel if you want.”
“No, no,” you shook your head, “I’ll just…stay here for a bit.” You forced a smile as you looked from Deuce to Jack. “I’m sure my stomach will settle after a few minutes. I’ll catch up with you guys once I’m better.”
“Alone?” Jack furrowed his eyebrows at the thought. “I don’t like the sound of that. What if you get worse and need someone?”
“I have my phone, remember?” You held up the phone Crowley had given you months earlier. It wasn’t the most reliable device, but it’d get you through in a pinch. “I can call someone to come get me - and you guys can text me whenever you want!”
“[Y/n],” Deuce started, voice filled with concern, “we can’t just-”
“Ah’ll stay with them.” The three of you looked up at Epel, who now stood in front of you. His hands were shoved in his jacket pockets; that letterman looked really nice on him, you thought. “Y’all go on ahead.”
Your expression fell and you began to shake your head. “Epel, no, I’ll be-”
“That weren’t a suggestion.” He flopped down in the seat opposite you. He directed his next words to the other two present. “Y’all go find Ace, see if he still wants to ride that coaster. I’ll meet up with y’all when [Y/n]’s better.”
The two boys stared at Epel for a moment, as if trying to get a read on him. To your surprise, they made no argument - they simply nodded and smiled. Deuce glanced over at you, “We’re only a text or phone call away. If you ever need us, don’t be afraid to.”
“Yeah,” Jack affirmed. Though his smile remained, he looked you dead in the eye with his next words. “And don’t try and push yourself too hard. If you’re faking being better, I’ll know. I-”
“Yeah, yeah, you can smell it.” Epel waved Jack off and gave him a lopsided smirk. “Go on, get! Tell me if Ace vomits his guts up.”
With another nod and a chuckle from Deuce, the two turned and made their way to the Sunside Sweep. Though you smiled at them as they left, the moment they took their attention off you both, you frowned and looked over at Epel. “You really don’t have to stay here with me. I know you looked forward to this more than anyone.”
“Eh,” Epel shrugged his shoulders, “it’s just a carnival. Not like ah’ll ever get to go to one again.”
That didn’t make you feel any better. You didn’t notice your frown morph into a pout as the guilt overwhelmed you. Your eyes grew big with sadness at the thought of Epel missing out on yet another thing he wanted to do. And you’d all finally managed to sneak him away from Vil’s eye! It wasn’t fair…
Epel glanced over at you - his expression fell as he took in your sad look. “H-Hey, what’s with the pout? Ya looked like a kicked puppy.” He smiled to try and cheer you up. “It really don’t bother me.” He poked at your cheek, “C’mon, buck up!”
You wanted to believe him, you really did…but your mind kept wandering to how excited he’d been the day before. He was the one to suggest the fair to you all; Epel had been the one up really early, anxious to go. You glared down at your stomach in a mix of shame and frustration. You knew you shouldn’t have eaten all that food…
Epel observed your current state and sighed. “Ahlright, if ya really wanna make it up to me,” he stood up from the bench, “let’s go on the ferris wheel.”
You raised your head as you eyed Epel, confused by the suggestion. “You said it was a baby ride.”
Epel clicked his tongue and scratched the back of his neck. “Well, it’s not that bad. ‘Ts not the worst ride in the world.” He glanced down at you with a lopsided smile. “That and, ah mean, if that upsets yur stomach, yur real bad off.”
You supposed he had a point. You glanced over at the ferris wheel, watching as it turned at a slow, languid pace. It looked rather peaceful…you gave a small nod as you slowly stood. “Y-Yeah, I guess it’ll be fine.”
Epel smiled, relieved that you agreed. He tugged at your wrist and gently pulled you along with him towards the ride. Thankfully, there wasn’t a line when you arrived. Epel reached into his pocket and dug out two tickets and handed them to the ride operator. They tucked the tickets away in a pouch on their belt before they led you up the stairs to where the carriages docked. There was a railing either side of the stairs for you to grab…yet Epel held your hand the whole way up. He glanced at you as the next empty carriage came to a stop; he glanced back when the operator opened the door and directed both of you inside.
Once safety tucked inside, sat on benches opposite each other, the operator closed the door. Seconds later, you began to move. You lightly gripped your bench as the carriage swayed as it traveled upward, pulled up by the wheel. You bit your lip to hold back a grunt as your stomach turned at the slightest movement. Epel seemed to notice your discomfort - within seconds he was beside you, hand rested on your knee as he examined you.
“You aren’t gonna throw up on me, are ya?” he asked, looking a little nervous at the thought.
“N-No, I think I’m fine.” This time, your smile was not forced as you looked Epel in his pretty blue eyes. “Thank you…for making sure I’m okay, I mean.”
“Well, ah mean, what didja want me to do?” he asked, voice laced with a small chuckle. “Leave ya there to die? I ain’t like Ace - I’m not an asshole.”
You let out a small giggle. “It’s still a little weird to hear you cuss out loud like that.”
“Ah know, right?” Epel leaned back and crossed his arms behind his head, his right leg crossed over his left knee. “Keep waitin’ for Vil to pop out from behind somethin’ and squawk at me for it.”
“Is he treating you better?” you asked. “Since his overblot, I mean.”
“Yeah,” Epel replied with a nod. “Still scolds me fer somethin’ just ‘bout every day, but ‘s not as bad.” He glanced at you as his teeth peeked through his smile. “He’ll even compliment me every now ‘n again.”
“That’s good.” You straightened your posture; you suddenly felt a lot better. “I’m happy he’s allowing you to be more free - more like yourself. I like it.”
“Oh yeah?” Epel now smirked as he uncrossed his legs and arms, sitting up before he inched closer to you. “What’chu like ‘bout me?”
“W-Well…” Now you suddenly felt nervous. His gaze was more intense than before, like he was trying to look into your very soul. Paired with that smirk on his face, he looked…attractive. Well, he always did, but…it was different. You scrambled to think of something.
“I…I like how laidback you are. You’re a lot more confident, too. It…suits you.”
“Mm, yeah?~” He inched closer with every passing second, so much so you had to scoot back along the bench to allow him room. “Ya like how manly ah can be? When ah’m out of all that frilly stuff?”
“What you wear doesn’t matter.” Something shifted in Epel’s gaze, but you couldn’t tell exactly what it was. “I guess it’s because you can be more…free? You don’t have to remind yourself of manners and other things; you can be yourself. I like that you can just be…well, you.”
Epel took in your words for a moment, as though to let them soak into the deepest parts of his brain. In those seconds, his expression had fallen into something akin to surprise - shock, even. Then, slowly, that expression came back, but this time the smirk was wider than it had been before. His eyes narrowed as he got even closer, so close your back now pressed against the wall of the carriage. The curve of the carriage’s body made your back contort to its figure. To do that, you had to sink down a little in your seat - to where Epel now towered over you.
“You know how cute ya look when yur all genuine ‘n shit?” Epel lowered his face down towards yours. “Real cute, sweetheart~”
Your heart pounded in your chest, a flush of red rising to your cheeks. You’d never seen Epel like this, so forward, so…hot. Hot was the word, yet you never dared let yourself think it. Epel was your friend, one of the guys! You wouldn’t let yourself think of him as something more, but now…now it was all you could think of.
“Tell me somethin’, sweet thang.” His lips were now beside your ear. Even at this angle, you could still glimpse that handsome grin. “Why do ya think I wanted to stay with ‘cha?”
“T-To make sure I was okay?”
“Ye, that,” his hair tickled your cheek as he got really close to your ear, “and because ah don’t want the other guys tryin’ to take what I want.”
Your heart nearly lurched out of your chest as the carriage suddenly came to a stop. In that quick commotion, you almost didn’t notice the lips that brushed against your cheek. But you did - you were sure your cheeks were as red as Ace’s hair. Epel suddenly scooted away from you, then pulled you back up to a sitting position. As soon as you sat up, the carriage door opened. In stepped Ace, who was led into the car by Deuce. He looked pretty bad, face a near green color as he glanced in your direction.
Deuce clumsily sat him on the bench opposite you and Epel, Jack stepping in behind him as the door slammed closed. You glanced out the small window on the door to see the ferris wheel’s operator, who looked a little too happy to leave you all in there with Ace. When you turned your gaze back on the redhead, you could see why: he looked ready to pass out, or barf, whichever came first.
“Da hell happened to you?” Epel asked.
“This is what five rides on two different coasters, with four sodas in-between, will get you,” Jack replied as he sat beside Deuce. He glared at Ace, who sat next to the large window of the carriage. “I told him not to do it, but he wouldn’t listen.”
Ace grumbled something unintelligible in response, though didn’t even bother to look at Jack to deliver it. He simply stared out the window, gaze a thousand yards away from where they were. Deuce simply shook his head, a sorry smile on his face as he patted Ace’s shoulder. “It’ll wear off eventually, man, don’t worry.” Deuce mumbled something under his breath as he took his hand off Ace. “Hopefully before Riddle finds out what you did.”
You nearly jumped out of your seat at Epel’s laugh bellowed out next to you. “What did ah tell ya?” He lifted his index finger into the air, “One braincell.”
“C’mon, Epel, give the guy a break,” Deuce said, though a snicker lay hidden beneath his words.
“Oh, like he gave me a break when ah dropped my lunch all over myself that time when ah-”
You didn’t hear that next part - you were distracted by the arm Epel draped over your shoulders. Though you smiled as the three continued to talk, and as Ace continued to glare and grumble (he even managed to flip the bird once), you were constantly aware of how secure Epel held you. He nary took his arm off you the rest of that afternoon at the fair. And whenever you’d peek over at him, he’d catch you - then smirk and wink.

Demon Ritual at 3AM Gone Wrong.
Prompt: Academically Smart Reader who summons young Demon Sae Itoshi through a 2013 emo blog. Except Reader’s lowk stupid.
————————————-
You didnt think the demon summoning ritual youd found online was actually going to work.
But it did. As stupid as it was, you were bored out of your mind with the fact you were taking a gap year. Nothing to do, and your social battery was not yet ready for a meetup with your friends.
And so, one (un)faithful night, when you were left alone in the confines of your house, you decided to be daring-if that was the right word. You’d graduated college with high honors, you could afford to be a little stupid for once.
And of course, you’d decided ‘summoning’ a demon would be the thing to cure your boredom.
After picking some lackluster blog site from 2013, you read through the brightly lettered instructions listed out before you. ‘Good god. I forgot how saturated everything was back then..’ You muttered under your breath with squinted eyes.
First step, choose a location.
You chose to do the supposed ‘ritual’ in your living room- for a few reasons. One being that, in the case where anything did go wrong, youd have an easy escape through the windows.
And two- so you could blast Gee by Girls Generation on the TV as you performed the ritual. The rules didnt say anything about music being forbidden after all.
Second step, cover your chosen area in a large ring of salt.
You were tempted to draw multiple rings, just to see what would happen. Alas, you stuck to the rules as you hummed ‘if he liked it then he shoulda put a ring on it,’ on repeat, circling around until a white ring was formed.
Third step, draw a circle and pentagram within the circle with chalk.
Luckily your brother was an art fanatic. You snatched one of his white pieces of chalk, and proceeded to draw.
By the end of it, your back was starting to hurt.
Fourth step, candles.
You placed a candle for each point of the pentagram, lighting them with the match youd found in the kitchen. God, you’d always had a certain.. fear, of fire ever since your granddad accidentally set fire to your hair on your 2nd birthday.
Fifth step, an offering.
You deadpanned when you read it. ‘An offering?’ You repeated to yourself, wondering if your brother would be fine with the proposal.
You decided against it, opting to offer a random necklace you’d found in your bag one day. (You still dont know just where it came from.)
You placed the necklace in the center of the circle, and now, you held your phone in your hands, about to recite the words from the website.
Eyes narrowed, you hesitantly stumbled over your words. ‘Saecula..Saeculorum..’ You said. ‘God what mind of name is this..’
You shook your head, resuming. ‘Be my friend, be my friend..?’
A moment of silence.
You waited for a second longer, before you felt the amusement bubble inside you as you started chuckling. You stood up, stretching as you grinned.
‘Who was i kidding. A demon ritual?’ You laughed. ‘Please, its not like this was ever going to work-‘
And suddenly, you saw flashed of light emitting from the centre of the circle. Ruby red, and emerald green.
What the hell.
You blinked more times than should have been humanely possible. Maybe your vision had gotten worse after all?..
Then, a man appeared, through some kind of warp hole in the ground that dissapeared as soon as it came. A handsome one at that. Long red hair that didnt reach below his neck, sharp emerald eyes. His slitted pupils latching onto your offerred necklace with curiosity.
Except, was he really a man if he had horns and a tail?
The horns that matched the colour of his hair; only being a darker shade. They looked smooth, reaching from the sides of his head up. His tail, slim and somewhat elegant, the tip thrashing back and forth.
You were stunned, a clear look of disbelief on your face.
The boy-demon, whatever he was, who had just appeared in your living room, suddenly turned his gaze towards you. You felt exposed, seeing that sharp gaze directed at you, and not the necklace.
You could only feel pity, and a sense of relation to the piece of jewellery that had suffered his stare for so long.
The ‘creature’ tilted his head, making a dismissive sound. ‘I suppose your offering has been more satisfactory than i would have expected.’ He-it said.
You continued staring, whether from awe, confusion or disbelief, you didnt know. ‘My.. my offering?’ You repeated dumbly.
The boy-demon simply held out the piece of jewellery. ‘The necklace. Or are you simply that forgetful and unaware?’ He said bluntly.
You finally snapped out of it, eyes narrowed in clear as day confusion. ‘Hold on, let’s backtrack here. Who the hell are you?’
A simple, slight tilt of his head back. ‘Dont you mean what am i, human?’
‘To put it simply,’ He started off, voice smooth. ‘I am a demon of the Itoshi bloodline, who has finally, and tragically been summoned.’ He sighed, seeming not too much bothered by the whole situation.
You deadpanned again, looking at him with a blank look as though your head was in the clouds. Eventually, you just said the first thing that came to mind.
‘What.’
The Itoshi sighed, dreadfully. ‘Dont tell me i have to repeat myself again. Are all humans this stupid?’ He muttered, tail lashing.
You shook your head. ‘No, no i mean, i get..? that youre a demon. Or well, kind of. This really just feels like a fever dream.’
You leaned closer curiously, eyes wide with that same look of curiosity and awe. ‘What i mean is.. How are you a demon?’
A quirk of his brow. ‘What do you mean by that?’
You leaned back, crossing your arms as you looked to the side. ‘I guess, i expected demons to be a lot.. uglier.’ You shrugged.
‘You even look human!’ You exclaimed, marvelling inside at his pretty face. ‘Well, besides the horns and tail.’ You pointed out, refusing the urge to touch them out of curiosity.
He shrugged. ‘Demons do look like humans, like you said. In fact, im pretty sure some demons have blended in into human society.’
‘Like Andrew Tate!’ You exclaimed.
The Itoshi deadpanned. ‘I dont know who that is. But yeah, i suppose.’
A moment of silence passed by, with the both of you staring at the other. You were too busy and caught up with admiring him to notice he was doing the same to you.
‘Say, I didnt get your name.’ You muttered.
And you wouldnt. Because just as you said that, you saw the familliar glare of lights pulling into the driveway.
‘Shit!’ You cursed, before grabbing the startled demon’s hand and half running, half dragging him upstairs to your room. Crashing through the door, you pushed him into your closet. He only deadpanned at you through the dark, surprisingly comfortable.
———————————-
You had to explain to your parents that you were doing an arts/science collaboration experiment.
They didnt believe you. But as long as you werent dealing weed and you cleaned up the mess after, they let you off the hook this once.
Once finished with your horrible at best excuse, you backed off, hands behind your back, and an uneasy smile on your face. As soon as you were out of sight, you swiftly sprinted upstairs.
When you peeked through your closet door, you were surprised when you still saw those same emerald eyes piercing back into you.
‘Youre still here.’ You said quietly, the hints of an amused smile on your face.
Though, the demon only huffed. ‘Yeah, and now i cant go back.’
‘Youve just trapped me on earth, until you reverse the ritual, that is.’

Some things never change

Sae Itoshi x Reader
Prompt: Sae and Reader who both meet at an Art Museum after seeing the other’s exact face in respective paintings from the 1600s? Fuck yeah. (Implied Reincarnation)
—————————————
‘Just what the hell am i doing here.’ Were the thoughts of a certain Itoshi.
Being dragged to an art museum by his teammates, Sae was less than happy as he bleakly looked around, that bored, unassuming expression on his face.
Art had never been something that had interested him. That was where football had taken its role.
Sae glanced at the paintings from time to time, before quickly shifting his attention else where. Nothing was catching his eye.
Until, his feet stopped movingz
The man didnt know why his body had seemingly moved- or well, paused on its own. And so, he looked up, fully taking in what he was looking at.
The large canvas of a beautiful person, in a medieval setting.
The painting wasn’t anything special, per-say. The same layout of a scene, littered with the ghosts of brush strokes.
And yet, even with its darker colours-only bright when shown on the figure, Sae almost couldn’t look away.
What exactly was transfixing him? He didnt know.
Though strangest of all, why did the figure in the painting seem familiar?
Their hair defined to the last strand, face holding a warm expression, and those eyes. The detail the artist had put into them- it made Sae’s own hurt from looking at the painting too long.
The man decided to step closer to take a look, checking the small information box next to the painting.
‘Huh’, he noticed.
S.I, were the initials of the artist.
No name, only the blanks of two letters to fill in the gaps of identification.
And too, a small message from the artist along with it. ‘Ray of Light, 1665. For my beloved, y/n.’
Sae decided to step back, a glimmer of interest in his teal eyes. Though, he decided to put it at the back of his mind for now.
When he walked off, he didnt realise how distracted he was until he nearly bumped into somebody.
Sae promptly apologised, not interested in sparing a second glance.
Until he did. That’s when he saw it.
You, the person who had nearly bumped into him, someone who bore a striking resemblance to the figure in the painting.
His eyes widened slightly at the connection. And you, were too having a similar realisation.
Unbeknownst to the Itoshi, there was a painting that you’d seen just down the hall that had caught your eye.
The painting of a man, who had definitely been painted in a good light. Rose-tinted hair, and emerald eyes that shone like sparks against his cheeks.
You’d been taken aback at the astute use of colours when it came to him, and fascinated at the lack thereof when looking at the surroundings in the painting- black and white.
The artist? Only a first name was written.
That being, y/n.
Along with the title, there was a small message left behind.
‘My Perspective, 1665. For my grumpy husband.’
Now, you stared at the very man from the painting before you, seemingly allured.
It seemed that, even paintings didnt fully show how beautiful the two of you were in the others eyes.

Some things never change
———————————-
Sae Itoshi x Reader
Until, his feet stopped moving.

Hot and Scary —————————
BLLK x Reader Prompt: Reader that is unintentionally scary when annoyed. Short Scenarios/Drabbles.
__________________________
It just so happened that the day you decided to oversee your boyfriends football practice, was the day physics decided to be a bitch.
The ball curved, and hit an unsuspecting you in the face. You reeled back slightly from the impact, the impact of the ball not yet sinking in.
You winced for a second, before you finally felt the pain on your face (especially your nose.) You heard slight shouts from the team, blocked out by the mild ringing in your ears.
Feeling your sore nose, you gently put a hand under it to (hopefully) stop the pain.
Then, you glanced up in mild-annoyance, hair framing and casting a mild shadow on your face. The slight glare you gave towards nothing in particular was..mildly scary to say the least.
——————-
As soon as the ball hit your face, he was sprinting in your direction.
Though when he spotted you, face slightly bloodied and eyes briefly lit with annoyance, he felt the tugs of a smirk playing on his lips.
His teammates were both slightly horrified that they’d injured you, and mildly scared at your intimidating reaction. But he was used to it- of course.
And with that, he knew you weren’t as mad as you looked. So when he walked over, gently putting his hands on your shoulders; he grinned as he saw your expression immediately turn more gentle.
‘You alright?’ He asked. Though he knew the answer would be yes, the boy always couldn’t help but be a bit of a worrywart for you.
‘Oh, yeah. Im fine.’ You shrugged.
‘Okay then.’ He grinned. Then, hands cupping your face, he gently kissed the tip of your nose before whispering,
‘Just so you know, you looked pretty hot just now. If i do say so myself.’

Jealous
———————————— Shidou Ryusei x Reader
Prompt: Clingy and slightly jealous Shidou, need i say more.
————————————
Shidou Ryusei.
You could conjure up a thousand nicknames just at the sound of his name.
Demon. Crazy. Possibly dropped as a baby, and many more that would (should) have sent someone like him recoiling in annoyance.
You’d met his kind countless times before- especially back during middle school, when the influx of wannabe gangster assholes came rolling in.
Brash, loud, brazen-tongued. All cut from the same cloth.
Though they acted tough, posing as if posessing demi-god like strength and pride, you’d easily learned how to deal with them over time.
Usually, the creative titles you’d given them had been more than enough to bruise their egos.
So, why was Shidou different?
At first glance, he’d seemed just like what you had expected. You had already been mentally preparing yourself-just from the devilish grin he constantly possessed on his face.
Though, if it did count for anything, you didn’t find yourself hating his creative choices.
Be it the hot pink fade in his hair, or the seemingly permanent eyeliner he wore. A tattoo, you assumed.
You were surprised when you caught yourself sparing glances his way.
You shrugged it off, classifying it as simple ‘observation’ of what his character would be like. Even if it was out of behaviour for you.
Once, Shidou had caught you staring. He’d responded with an animated tilt of his head, that same smile on his face. Only now, it was sent your way.
You wanted to punch yourself for getting embarrassed then, a weird feeling in your chest having blossomed when he’d grinned.
But, you couldnt say you were surprised when you witnessed the boy attempt to send Igaguri to heaven (perhaps hell) with an axe kick.
You’d facepalmed then, resisting the urge to find amusement in the scene.
And somehow, for whatever reason, you found yourself wanting to know more.
—————————-
You took your unspoken words back as soon as you saw the troublemaker approach.
You gulped, hoping to act as nonchalant as possible as you fiddled around with the ball.
‘Just avoid eye contact. Maybe he’s not even here for you.’ Were the words repeating over and over as you played around with the ball.
You hoped your words were true. Maybe Shidou was just focused on someone behind you-
You turned your head around, face dropping when you remembered you were at the end of the field.
You looked around, positively frowning when you noticed no one else in the vicinity besides you, and the eager looking boy coming over.
Wait. You looked around frantically. Where did he go-
‘Hey. What’s your deal?’
You nearly jumped hearing the low, teasing voice coming close from your right. Your heartbeat quickened- from being caught off guard. Not from anything else, surely.
You looked at the faux demon in clear confusion, head tilted the slightest bit. A nonchalant expression on your face.
‘What?’ You said simply.
At your one-worded response, you saw the boy’s sharp features change to a pointed look. One eyebrow raised, looking down at you as if to say ‘dont give me bullshit.’
‘What do you mean, what?’ He retorted. ‘All those looks you’ve been giving me. What, got a problem?’ The boy nearly sneered, showing sharp canines.
Oh. So that was what this was about.
Well, you couldnt exactly tell him the reason for your constant glances was due to ‘curiosity’. That would have been embarassing.
And so, you simply shrugged. ‘Meh.’ You muttered disinterestedly.
At this, he surprisingly slouched the slightest bit, face morphing into a childish frown. ‘Meh?’ He exaggerated, leaning closer.
‘Come on.’ Shidou urged impatiently, frowning as you looked away in ignorance.
He was met with silence.
Shidou crossed his arms at that, huffing. ‘Hey. Stop ignoring me, you little fox.’ He snarked. Though, if he was trying to sound intimidating, he’d failed miserably. You heard the pout in his voice.
At the nickname, you felt a rise of amusement at how random it was. You nearly laughed, turning to him.
‘Little fox?’ You inquired curiously.
The boy shrugged. ‘What? Youre shorter than me-‘
‘Barely.’ You quickly retorted.
‘Barely still counts.’ Shidou corrected, pink eyes narrowed in amusement. ‘And i dont exactly know your name.’
You deadpanned at him after that, a bored expression on your face. ‘We’re literally in the same team. How do you not know my name-‘
Your voice was cut off by the rough callous of a hand slapping your shoulder, as if in friendly greeting. Shidou sighed deeply- probably for dramatic effect, as he laughed.
‘Always so serious, aren’t ya, y/n?’ He smirked. ‘Just wanted to humor you a little.’
Ah. You truly couldnt help the small laugh that left your lips.
‘Yeah. Whatever you say.’ You’d sighed.
Then, was the start of a new friendship. A truly chaotic one at that.
————————————-
Over time, you’d come to learn what kind of person Shidou was.
Touchy.
Whenever you two were together- which was always; considering how often the boy trailed after you, he’d always have his hands on you in some way.
Mostly on your shoulders.
After each game, you’d learned to steady yourself for the heavy, sudden weight of Shidou jumping on you.
You’d fallen the first time, completely unprepared as you’d lain in a dizzy trance.
He’d laughed in response. Unpredictable as always, his hands had met your torso as he’d picked you up- albeit not in the most gentle of ways.
Shidou had chaotically seated you atop his shoulders, gaining a confused sound out of you as youd looked down at him.
You wouldve been lying if you said you werent the tiniest bit flustered.
‘If you cant handle my weight,’ He’d started off.
Moving his head upwards to look at you, he’d said. ‘Then i guess we’ll just have to reverse the roles for now, huh?’
You shook the memory away as you brought yourself back to present time. You sighed, recognising the familiar feel of Shidou’s arm around your shoulders.
‘You’re pretty clingy, yknow that?’ You said on impulse.
At that, the arm around you only moved closer. ‘Running your mouth as per-fucking-usual.’ Shidou laughed.
His face now close to yours, he asked. ‘Besides, how am i clingy?’
You deadpanned at him after that.
As if oblivious, Shidou continued following you around after that. To the field, dining hall, the dorms, etc. You didnt mind all too much-surprisingly.
Perhaps you could even say you liked it.
You shook your head at the thought, prompting a slightly confused out of Reo.
The two of you were sitting in the monitoring room, rewatching some of the previous matches (and totally not gossipping).
The atmosphere was comfortable, but- you couldnt help but feel as though something was missing.
You pondered, not being able to put a finger on just what it was.
‘What’s up?’ Reo asked curiously, shifting his weight to his propped up arm.
‘I dont know. It feels like somethings.. off.’ You said with uncertainty.
Reo tilted his head at that, squinting. ‘Off? In what way?’
You shrugged. ‘Not in a bad way. Just, feels like somethings missing?-‘
You were abruptly cut off by the sound of the door opening. Both you and Reo turned your heads curiously. Seeing the tall silhouette immediately reminded you of who it was.
Shidou.
At the sight of you, he grinned and immediately ran over. The blonde sat next to you, already putting an arm around your shoulders.
He smiled contently in a cat-like manner. ‘Hey, y/n.’ Shidou grinned, showing his sharp canines. You’d always thought they looked cool (especially so on him).
You couldnt help but sigh in response, a small smile appearing. ‘Hey, Shidou.’
At the mention of his last name, he frowned. ‘Come on, i think we’re way past last name basis!’ You heard the pout in his voice.
You sighed dramatically. ‘Fine, Ryusei.’ You took note of the way Shidou’s face immediately lit up. Like how a kid’s would when receiving a present on Chiristmas.
Except, you remembered how greatly Shidou loathed Santa.
Reo was simply watching the scene. Seeing the interest in his violet eyes, you suppressed the urge to raise a brow at him.
Shidou leaned his head close to your shoulder, seemingly ignoring the other’s presence. ‘So, what were you doing here anyway?’
The heir on your other side answered before you could open your mouth. ‘We were just watching some of the matches together.’ Reo shrugged.
Hearing this, the blonde pulled you closer, seeming to glare at your lilac-headed friend.
‘I wasn’t asking you.’ He snarked, pink eyes narrowed as they bore into Reo.
The Mikage, who had noticed Shidou’s somewhat protective nature towards you, was suddenly met with an idea.
He smirked, tilting his head. ‘Oh, but we’re in the same room, are we not? Besides, i was sure you would’ve loved to hear more about me and y/n’s day.’
You wondered just where the hell he was going with this, an eyebrow quirking in piqued interest- and confusion.
‘You know,’ He continued. ‘Two friends, hanging out for a long time, in a room together. Alone.’ Reo lulled.
Shidou seemed to stiffen beside you. Turning your head, you saw what may have possibly been the nastiest glare you’d ever seen out of him.
He made a ‘tch’ sound, sharp eyes once again narrowed in what appeared to be jealousy- and definite annoyance.
All directed towards Reo.
You gave him a side glance, warning him to run while he could.
And then, Shidou smirked. The smile not quite reaching his eyes.
Oh.
Reo was definitely in for it now.
—————————————
You’d managed to prevent a death today. What a good samaritan, am i right?
You’d somehow managed to convince your best friend that whatever Reo had implied was not true. The two of you had been gossiping all day long!
Whatever ‘plan’ the Mikage had conjured up had been as shitty as Alexis Ness’ meat-riding. Or maybe worse.
Walking back now, you sighed.
‘I’m assuming you were planning to murder Reo before i stepped in?’ You quirked, turning to Shidou with a raised brow.
He grinned in response. ‘Not planning. I was about to.’ The blonde stated proudly.
You sighed exasperatedly. ‘Like that’s any better.’ You ran a hand over your face.
‘Why were you so mad anyway?’
The boy scowled, putting his hands in his pockets.
‘I didnt like whatever he was talking about.’ He scoffed. ‘I shouldve beat his ass once he started implying a romantic pre-tense between the two of you.’ Shidou pretended to gag, clearly annoyed.
Oh.
So that was what this was about.
You wondered why you’d seen jealousy in his eyes, and now you definitely knew why.
You contained your laughter, turning to face Shidou in amusement. ‘Oh, so you were jealous?’ You teased lightly.
The blonde froze the slightest bit, before laughing. A little too hard. ‘No way!’ He scoffed, turning his face away.
That didnt stop you from noticing the slight tinge on his face.
Ex-fucking-sposed.
You inched closer, full on grinning now. ‘You definitely were, Ryusei. And frankly, i think its pretty cute.’
You didnt know where your new-found boldness came from, but you sure as hell werent complaining when you saw the tips of Shidou’s ears turn a shade darker.

Absolute Chaos
———————————
Prompt: Just imagine Y/N, Shidou, and Rin being a chaotic trio after all joining PxG
———————————
‘So..’
The words from your mouth trailed off quickly. Awkwardly standing, you looked between the two with an impending sigh.
Backs facing the other, you felt as though you could cut the tension with a knife. With Shidou cockily folding his arms, and Rin begrudgingly putting a hand on his hip- a scowl on both their faces.
You knew the two didnt exactly have good history. But for the situation to be so bad, that Shidou was keeping quiet?
You felt as though you’d just stepped onto a landmine.
There was only one way to fix this.
An obscure, out of pocket animal fact. Your unhinged specialty.
You gulped nervously, and then, you said it.
‘Did you guys know female kangaroos have three vaginas?’
You hoped the silence after was a good thing.
————————————-
You ended up getting chased around the field. Turns out Rin did not like hearing that.
And Shidou probably just wanted a reason to beat you up.
Thankfully, you were miraculously saved by Loki’s perfect timing. His casual, nonchalant expression morphing to that of bewilder as you ran and yelled for your life.
‘Atleast they can run..’ Loki thought as he sweat-dropped.
————————————-
Youd quickly forgotten about your near death experience when you’d reached the dorms. The beautiful single bed seemed to be calling for you.
(Unlike the clinically opposite of sturdy bunkbed on the other side of the room.)
The three of you cast side-glances at each other, making communication with your eyes.
You hoped your gaze conveyed your message of, ‘that bed is mine.’ Seems you were successful, as Shidou’s pink irises cast a narrowed look your way that said, ‘to hell with that.’
No doubt he’d offer to fight you for it. Well, it’d be less of an offer and more of an obligation.
Rin turned his head to the both of you, with a hardened expression that said, ‘that. bed. is. mine.’
And after a few moments of silence, knowing you all desired that beautiful bed, you steeled yourself.
And then, you did it.
You quickly ran forward, stunning the two behind you. You were planning to jump on the bed upon reach, and childishly yell out ‘dibs!’. A universal code that, in polite words meant ‘mine, mine, mine!’.
Sadly, Shidou seemed to get the message.
He dashed, and grabbed your ankle with a prideful laugh. You dramatically outstretched your arm. ‘No!’ You cried out, mourning the loss of something that was just out of reach.
The blonde cackled more at this- like a witch, you thought. ‘That bed’s all mine now!’ He grinned, ready to get up.
But before you knew it, you both heard the familiar ‘thud!’ of a weight against the plush mattress.
‘You lukewarm idiots.’
Rin’s voice called out casually. He sat at the edge of the bed, staring the both of you down with his legs crossed.
But though his voice was neutral as always, you thought you heard the slightest tint of pride in it.
Your face morphed into a disappointed deadpan, while Shidou’s took on a challenging look.
‘Huh?! As if i’d let you-‘
‘Get off the floor, both of you.’ Rin cut off Shidous line of speech. ‘For the record, you look like immature children.’
You couldnt help but laugh at the hypocrisy of that. (Even if you and Shidou were both laying on the floor and probably looking stupid as hell.)
‘Says the youngest one here!’ You remarked.
‘Yeah!’ Shidou snarked in agreement.
‘Whatever.’ Rin scoffed, crossing his legs. He gave you both a look of slight pride and arrogance. ‘Doesnt change the fact the bed’s still mine.’
You and the blonde both grumbled in sync.
———————————————
A few days after your begrudging arrangement, and it had all gone to Rin’s plan. He got the single, whilst you got the top, and Shidou got the bottom bunk.
Now, talking with Chigiri, you came to a realisation.
After explaining the incident that had happened, and complaining about it, he’d said.
‘Why not just rotate who gets the bed then?’ The boy had stated, as if it was the most simple thing in the world.
You paused, deadpanning.
‘Shit. Together, we really are stupid.’

Hiori Yo x Reader Prompt: Introverted, slightly awkward reader, and a kind, friendly pretty boy. They surely wont develop a soft spot for him. A/N: Im gonna make a 2. to this. The concept is just too cute! <3 The 2 of them are defo gonna get teased tehe
_________________________
You were currently sitting in the dining hall, mindlessly eating your food. Though you were seated together with some of your friends, you didnt have the mental energy in you to talk at the current moment. So, you opted to peacefully eat your meal instead.
Thankfully, it was good. You definitely couldnt have taken one more reason.
Manshine City training had exhausted you, physically, mentally, maybe even psychologically.
Just kidding.
You always were a tad bit of a dramatic person. With over exaggerated complaints about anything and everything, to your mannerisms.
Though, you only showed that side of yourself to those you were comfortable with. Most of the time, you were pretty introverted. And a tad bit awkward.
Avoiding of eye contact, a blunt way of speaking, and a naturally intimidating face to top it all off. It was no surprise you wwre dubbed ‘the ice ruler’. Though, you found it amusing.
And so did your friends. The few youd made, seemed to enjoy teasing you about your unintentionally ‘icy’ demeanor.
Back in the present, you sighed as you were brought out of your train of thought. Again.
Whatever Bachira was talking about, it certainly wasnt normal, that was for sure. Something about kangaroos having three vaginas? You could only deadpan at the boy.
Suddenly, a flash of blue appeared a distance away. A boy, whom youd never seen before, was walking into the dining hall.
Oh god.
His soft, cyan hair had made him stand out to you, for sure. But his face..
You were annoyed at the fact that you felt your heart pick up pace slightly, ears tinging the smallest bit. ‘The hell’s wrong with me..’ you mentally scolded yourself.
Isagi, being the naturally observant person he was, glanced at your tinged face. ‘Y/n, you alright?’ He asked curiously.
At the question directed towards you, the other three turned their heads to look at you curiously too, wondering what Isagi was talking about.
You peered back in the direction behind Bachiras head, where youd spotted him. You sighed under your breath when you noticed he was no longer there. And yet, beneath that relief..
Why was there dissapointment?
You scoffed at yourself, before waving Isagi off casually.
‘Im fine, dont worry.’
You picked up your food tray, nodding at the rest in acknowledgment as you walked back to your dorm for the night.
‘How weird..’
_________________________
A few days of more torturous training, (not to mention the fact that part of your mind kept going back to him), and youd finally gotten some free time.
Put in a good mood, you strolled to the screening room with a slight pip in your step.
You were hoping to rewatch some of the matches, specifically the ones youd played in. Just to see if there were any areas you could improve on.
Oh who were you kidding. The real reason you were going to rewatch the matches? Because it was entertaining, duh. The fact that you could observe your own playstyle and improve was just a bonus.
Walking in through the door, you werent surprised when you spotted Isagi, giving him a nod of acknowledgment.
What did surprise you however, was when you saw the same cyan haired boy from a few days prior.
His bright eyes were the same shade as his hair, and you felt the heat rush to your face at the sight of his small, but soft smile.
The boy gave off a kind, and friendly vibe. Funny, considering it was the complete opposite of yours.
Isagi spoke with a smile, gesturing to the boy beside him. ‘Ah, y/n! I assume you havent met Hiori yet?’
‘Hiori, huh? What a cute name.’ You thought, before you mentally slapped yourself.
Hiori continued to smile gently, blinding you with his charm. You mentally felt like a vampire being dramatically burned from the sun.
‘No, we havent.’ Hiori shook his head.
The boy stood up, before walking closer over to you. The distance between you both was nothing to speciap, and yet, as he stood directly infront of you, you tried your best to calm the butterflies in your stomach.
With a hand outstretched, Hiori spoke gently. ‘M’ Hiori Yo, nice to meet you.’
You look at him for a moment, before breaking a small smile of your own. You shook his hand in return, relishing in how soft his hands were for someone who played such a rough sport.
‘Y/n l/n, nice to meet you too.’ You spoke, an almost unidentifiable softness on your face. Almost. But not for Isagi Yoichi.
As he watched the two of you greet each other, each with soft smiles and already comfortable demeanors, he couldnt help the knowing, shit-eating grin creeping its way onto his face.
In all the time he’d spent with you as a teammate and friend, he was sure he had never seen that expression on your face. One that wasnt akin to your usual introverted, and sometimes sarcastic demeanor. Were you really not aware of the fact you were softening around the other boy?
Hiori even seemed more comfortable with you. More so than the typical friendliness he treated everyone with.
As the two of you conversed, Isagi noticed the small smile on your face. Oh, he was for sure going to tease you about this whole situation. Even if you werent aware of it.
As you got up, waving goodbye to the two and walking back to your dorm, Isagi looked ahead with a knowing smirk on his face as he chuckled to himself.
Hiori glanced to the boy, curious, and slightly confused. ‘What is it?’
Isagi shook his head, continuing to scheme. ‘Nothing, really.’
‘Nothing at all..’

Hair in Your Hands
Chigiri Hyoma x Reader Prompt: When Chigiri asks you for a hairtie suddenly before a match, you surely dont expect him to use it on your hair instead. A/N: When i say long hair, i dont mean extremely long. Just long enough to be tied :D S/N i will be posting more BLLK content now. Sorry to everyone who followed me for avatar 🙏
___________________________
You hummed absent-mindedly as you waited for the match to start. You were currently standing in the field, arms folded over your chest.
Glancing to the other side, you noticed immediately how prompt the opposing team was compared to your own, nearly everyone already present.
You resisted the urge to roll your eyes as you patiently waited for your teammates. Foot tapping over the ground, your eyes lit up as you finally spotted several familliar figures step out.
Bachira, Isagi, Chigiri and so on. A part of you was curious, wondering why they took so long. But, youd ask after the match. Couldnt have your teammates distracted now.
As Chigiri walked to his position, you flashed him a look. One that said, ‘finally’, as you grinned ever so slightly.
The boy rolled his eyes in good humor, sparing a small smirk of his own. He then turned his attention to the field, rose eyes narrowed in concentration.
You stretched your arms over your head, grinning as you finally felt the match was about to start. And then suddenly, his gaze returned to you.
Chigiri seemed to peer at you curiously, a look in his eyes you couldn’t distinguish.
And as quick as his attention had been diverted, he was jogging over to where you were. His ruby hair swaying at the tips, from just a slight jog. You always did wonder why he never tied his hair in matches, or even during practice.
There was a slight urgency in his actions, as he finally reached you. But instead of talking to your face, he moved to stand behind you, a gentle hand on your shoulder.
Beneath all the confusion, you felt flustered too. You turned your head around, looking at him with slightly narrowed eyes.
‘What are you-‘ Your voice quickly got cut off.
‘Can you pass me your hair tie?’ Chigiri asked curiously, holding his palm out.
You deadpan at him, before sighing and removing the tie from your wrist. You placed it in his hand, waving him off, expecting him to leave.
‘I always did wonder why you never tied your hair during matches-‘
Your nonchalant voice is cut off abruptly by the feel of hands in your hair. Your face immediately flushed slightly, as you looked back at Chigiri like a deer caught in headlights.
The boy looked back at you, a flicker of a smirk on his pretty face at your expression.
‘Dont move so much. You’ll mess it up.’ He said casually, continuing to smooth out your hair. His gentle fingers combed through your locks ever so slightly, leaving tingles from his touch.
You turned around with a scoff, trying to ignore your embarrassment. Though, it was hard to do so when he was so close to you, bodies nearly touching.
He bunched up your hair into a low ponytail, finally tying it up for you. Chigiri stepped away from your back, about to walk off.
Though he spared you one last glance, ruby eyes glinting with an emotion you could not displace.
‘You look nice, y/n.’
He said softly, before getting back into his position as the match finally begun. Youre left dumbfounded, face red the entire game.
And its not from the physical activity, thats for sure.
