Here's my piece for Gallery Nucleus' upcoming "Once Upon a Dream," show, a tribute to Disney's Sleeping Beauty. I'm a big fan of Eyvind Earle's work (one of the main designers on the film, responsible for those square trees!) and it was such a fun challenge trying to blend his style with mine in this painting. The show opens June 1st, and if you're in the LA area I hope you'll check it out in person so you can see not only all the other artists' new pieces but Earle's amazing works as well!

1. Isle being forested. Mounds are in the background.

2. Isle had more land that’s now covered by the clouds.

3. The child (probably the King) is with other children, alongside a guardian of sorts.

4. The child looks at an Abyss-style manta..

5. The guardian looks angry, and is presumably from Vault.

6. More multi-wing mantas are being shown.

7. The boat heads to the flourishing Isle Temple, with isle being shown.

8. “Many years later”… so it’s definitely canon

9. “The story continues” the most interesting part to me. The Two Embers will not only have a story that connects with the game, but it sounds like the “start”. Maybe Two Embers will appear to people who haven’t played Sky, causing them to watch the show before playing the game?

Side note: There are human sounds, and the music is a combination of “Overture” and “The Invention” (forest elder theme)

Happy Sky Steam release!!

My avatar, and some screenshot redraws.

I opened a new account because i forgot the lore ;-; and the account linking is limited on pc.

It's a bit buggy so far as it's early access, but nothing horrible. And I can get a lot more done with a mouse and keyboard! So having to make a new account didn't turn out too bad after all.
