Welcome to Star Sans Poly Week 2025!

I'm a couple days late, I know--so sorry about that! But they are finally here! I hope these prompts suit you just as well as the last ones. Third times the charm, as they say.

This years week will be from August 20th to August 16th.

(The night of the ball, everything is in full swing. Dream keeps finding himself looking around in awe, smiling so wide his face hurts. For once, there's nobody beckoning him to talk. For once, he can relax. Not only that, but he's here with Ink and Blue! Wherever the two are...)

*I wonder where they went...?

(Standing alone with a drink, Dream searches the crowd, but can't make them out. Oh, what to do? He's not good in crowds, not without Ink and Blue, who aren't here...did they go home? Did they get tired of the ball? Maybe they only agreed to go out of sympathy and not...not...)

*There you are! Been looking all over for you, Dream.

*C'mon, c'mon!

(Stumbling, Dream blinks, bewildered as Ink tugs him right to the dancefloor, Blue following closely behind. After positioning them to his liking, Ink nods at the band, and a slower song comes on. Ink and blue lead the dance, Dream following them, watching them both. They're so happy...and they planned this dance for...him? How thoughtful! They must've known how much he wanted to dance like this with them...oh, why did he ever doubt them?)

*Dream! You're crying!

*Ink's dancing isn't that bad, is it?

*Wha--hey!

*Haha, no! No, I'm fine. I'm just...happy.

(Dream stays happy for the rest of the night, too. Ink and Blue are the best dates, and he tries to match them, taking them on a stroll through the garden when the three need a break from the crowd. He's sure he doesn't stop smiling--that's how magical of a night it is!)

(Dream is taking a wander through a library. Absently, he brushed the spines of books, reading the titles silently. It was a day in which he had some free time--a rarity for him. Rain patters against the window, making it perfect reading weather. But what should he read?)

*Hm...this one sounds good...oh, but so does that one...that one sounds too scary, what with the rain...

(Dream stops, finger on Cinderella. A classic love story. He's read it before, way back...well, in times long gone. He still remembers falling asleep to the sound of his brother's voice. Perhaps he's in a nostalgic mood, because he takes it off the shelf.)

*This one...it's always nice to read something familiar, yes...

(Walking towards a chair, Dream curls up and cracks the book open. The wonderful story, with beautiful illustrations, washes over him. Cinderella, starting as a servant to her own family...her dress getting ruined...transformed by her Fairy Godmother...attending the ball...)

*Oh! The ball...a ball! Why, that should surely work...The Council will have to approve!

(See, The Council was spitballing ideas to cheer the Multiverse up. So far, no one has come up with something good enough. But a ball...why, that might be the ticket! Balls are always magical, with people dressing up and dancing. Not only that, they're classic. Everyone loves a classic!)

*I should see them now, right now!

(Dream rushes to pitch his idea. The Council approves. Marvellous! Now, as Star Sanses, Dream will be showing up with Blue and Ink, which is all fine and good, but...well, Dream wants to ask them to be his date, make it official, make it more...whatever the opposite of a colleague relationship is.)

*I do want to invite them...but I don't want to wreck our friendship. What if they say no? I'd mess everything up, make it so terribly awkward...but if I don't take the chance, I might never try it again...

(Dream can't decide. Does he take the risk? Does he avoid it? What if they say no? What if they say yes? Will you help him?)

New header alert!

I've wanted to change it for a while, but just got around to drawing this today. Is it the greatest? No. I've definitely better at writing than drawing. But it turned out cute!!

See you all in a couple months when we get closer to Star Sans Poly Week 2025! I'm sure this year will be like something right out of a fairy tale.

quick scribble for star sans poly week (shh i’m only a little late <3) i want to at least doodle for the prompts this week, it’d be a fun way to think about these three more

I think Dream would still struggle during thunderstorms, even after leaving Dreamtale. I think he’d try to hide it, but Swap and Ink have known him long enough to tell when he’s upset, and they know just how to comfort him <3

To be honest… I don’t actually like soulmate tropes very much! I almost skipped this day because I couldn’t think of anything to draw for it… but I had the idea for this composition and changed my mind :) I still don’t love soulmates as a concept, but it is sweet to think about fate drawing the stars together, despite them being from different universes entirely <3

I’m sooo proud of this one. It definitely took the longest of all my drawings for this week, and I’m so happy with how it looks <3 I put SO MUCH DETAIL into this thing!!

Going to ramble about the details here ^v^

I put parts of their outfits around the room!

Dream’s circlet, Swap’s bandanna, and Ink’s sash are on the headboard of the bed

Dream and Swap’s boots are in the left corner (next to Dream’s cape and staff, hanging on the wall)

Swap’s gloves and Dream’s brooch(?? it’s the pink star thing from his cape) are on the bedside table

Ink’s scarf is on the end of the bed. There’s notes and drawings on the scarf, too :3

The bunny slippers are Swap’s! I designed them all pjs, but (for Dream and Swap) you can’t really see them because of the covers lol,, here’s the doodle I made as reference:

The phones! I think Ink would forget to charge his lol

Star Sans Poly Week : Day 1 - Stars

Not only do the stars represent their group, but that it's what brought them all together (being 'star' sanses), so I think they would all have stars on their outfits instead of rings for when they get married.
