I had a dream about you, dad.

I opened the door of your room and noticed you were laying on your bed. You looked exactly the same as always... you with your blue shorts with no shirt on with your big beautiful belly popping out. You were surrounded by photos of you and grandpa with your grey safe open.

The room looked exactly like it always did. A bit messy but that didn't bother me.

The moment you saw me, you immediately got up to say something but I can't remember what. I was so shocked to see you and started walking twards you while crying with my arms out to give you a hug. All I could think about was that I miss you... and that you are gone. As I got close to hugging you... I looked in the mirror to my left and you weren't there anymore.

That's where I woke up.

some life drawing at the museum today, i really love the funky shapes of long bones in animals like armadillos and moles and other burrowing-type critters. and beavers. the shape of beaver skeletons is just overall delightful

Have you ever felt like no one understands you. Feeling like you are the only person in the world who understands. You ask yourself "When will I meet someone who can understand what I believe is right and wrong? When will I meet someone who can relate?". You tend to over think things... is there really such a thing as right and wrong? How would you tell when everyone has a different point of view? Yet you still crave to meet someone that has a very similar understanding as you do.

When the day comes, when you meet that one person that totally agrees with you on any level, it's like weight has been lifted off your shoulders. That feeling of agreement is comforting in its own way. At least, that is how I felt.
