If You Give a Reo a Nagi

Sleeping with Nagi–in a purely literal sense, of course–is nothing like Reo thought it would be. There’s a very visible half-an-inch of empty bed space before them, a thin line of barren sheets that gives him room to breathe until Nagi completely crashes through the border in his sleep and rolls straight into Reo’s back.

“Warm,” Nagi mumbles, right up against his ear and it takes what little remains of Reo’s self-control to not scream, combust or all of the above. He never thought he’d be the little spoon at 6 feet tall but Nagi’s always had a way of defying the odds.

Striker's Inferno

VOICE-OVER: This is Inferno… Singles who haven’t become couples will spend painful nights here.

[A series of scenes play in rapid succession. The camera is focused on a pair of sandals as someone says “But I won’t wait for you.” A figure stands with their back to the camera in the kitchen. They flip a pot over and scream “WHAT THE FUCK IS THIS?!” Someone runs across the screen as a quiet voice says “I want to go home. This is such a pain.” The final shot shows two people talking in a tent, their faces cut off by the angle. “I’LL MAKE HIM SAY HE NEEDS ME!” one of them screams while the other one puts a hand on their arm.]

When Isagi Yoichi opens the door to his part-time job at the Blue Lick Cafe, the last thing he expects to see is a boy with blonde bangs trying to juggle five cups at once.

“Oh!” the guy calls out. One of the plastic cups hits him on the head but he keeps smiling like it never happened. That’s totally normal. “You must be the new employee! Er… Isagi-kun, right?”

“Yeah,” Isagi stammers, too shell-shocked to manage anything else. The guy’s balancing the two remaining cups on the backs of his hands as he flips a machine on with his knee. Yep. Definitely normal.

“Aren’t you tired of being nice?” Shidou asks, whispering in his ear like he’s some damn demon on his shoulder. “Don’t you just wanna go apeshit?”

Rin’s blood is boiling. He’s delusional from the rush. His head got slammed a little too hard on the field yesterday and Shidou’s kick to the fucking face knocked his common sense loose. It’s the only plausible explanation for why he’s actually listening to this insect’s ideas.
