Btw 7n7, 8o8, and 6w6’s glasses match the head shape of their respective kids (it’s the main reason why I gave 6w6 glasses knowing they don’t canonically have any. Just thought I’d continue the theme)

So I've been really fixated on Ecco the dolphin these past couple of day, Ecco everything, every game, every character, I'm even working on a rewrite au that connects all the games together in some way

That Rift that’s Metamorphic

I finally drew Metamorphic Rift stuff for the 5 MR fans out there

I’ll just rapid fire some fun facts:

In MR, Nuwa is very much still alive and active. So the whole self sacrifice plot is not happening in MR

Instead, Sky is a celestial primate made in replacement of Macaque. Since there were suppose to be four

We made an observation that only celestial primates had the power to kill each other. So Sky could’ve also been used as leverage against WuKong

If WuKong didn’t discover her existence, mess it all up, and get her to live a normal mortal life instead

So most of the late season plot lines revolve around people trying to take advantage of the fact Sky is a young naive celestial primate in disguise who has the power to kill his mentor

Also unlike Mei, River can turn into a dragon. It’s a rare to see it though since her family keep their dragon ancestry a secret

I’d love to do a more in depth (pun unintended) chapter where they visit Ao Guang and River has a more heart to heart with her great great x1000 grand uncle.

Please ignore how I was convinced for a while “yam” was a type of sheep for a hot minute. Wdym it’s not 💔

Metamorphic Rift

A few months ago me and my friends @starstrvckfool and @/basiltaztic oc-ified Lego Monkie Kid for funsies. I didn’t really share my contributions much but I think I’m getting the hang of tumblr so what the hell. Sure

Sky is the main character, having just graduated high school. Every summer his family travels to China, namely to visit extended family but also this time Sky gets to pick where they went as a graduation gift. Sky chooses Flower Fruit Mountain, being a huge Monkey King fanatic. FFM is a very popular tourist spot, but little does Sky know that the myths are real and they’re about to find the real Monkey King

And River is Sky’s best online friend from mainland China (I made an error in her ref where I reused the China flag when I meant to put down the omnisexual flag 😭 oh well). River is a decently size social media influencer known for her incredible cosplays. No one knows her secret to making them so realistic!

anyways, here’s some more doodles (ErLang is designed by fool, Azure made by basil)

haven’t made any official refs for Metamorphic Rift NeZha and Redboy. But tl;dr NeZha often takes Redboy to enjoy the mortal realm. They’re very much like an uncle to Redboy (also hasn’t fully gotten over their friendship falling out with ErLang but that’s a work in progress). I had an idea where Redboy butts heads with the Yellow Wind Demon, but again all a work in progress
