I know I don’t really post on here anymore, and I’m not sure if any of my followers are still active. But a week ago I graduated from medical school 😱 I’m not sure how much/what I’ll be sharing on here going forward, bit I just thought I’d let you know!

A 5/10 day, could be better, I was very tired and didn't get much done in the time I had at night. I have been thinking more about my system and I might have to fine tune it a bit more. Dumping pre bedtime thoughts here so I can continue thinking about this tomorrow:
Principles - Habit - System
my principles would be consistency, intentionality, among be true and be kind. (TICK?), which will then go on to the idea of sanctity of time and space, and this would lead me to form habits like. 2 min rule, 2 day rule, 3 month review to keep me intentional and accountable in my goals. having the reuglar system for revision would come under consistency, and the clocking hours thing would come from the intentionality idea. Breaks and rests would be under being true and kindnto myself. And as a whole I would use the excerpt I saw from Atomic Habits to stick to those habits within the system I fix for myself. Yes I think this might work to provide me a more concrete system so I dont feel so lost. Excited to develop it tomorrow.

I’m already 7 weeks into my 6th and final year of med school (how crazy is that??). Our 6th year only consist of practical classes/rotations and I have been lucky and got the internal medicine and surgery rotation back home in Norway! I have been exhausted after getting home from the hospital everyday, but now I really need to start study again so I figured I’d try to be more active on here as well (although my table in my apartment is sooo ugly do I’m not sure how I’ll get nice pictures…)

Happy pride month!!! Here is my tote bag from tiger that became a must, plus the books I’ve read during May. To be honest I wasn’t able to reach my reading goal because of goldfinch but oh well.

Omggg, today i observed heart surgery and we got to stand by the head so we saw basically everything the surgeons saw, and on top of that we actually had someone (anesthesiologist i think) explain stuff to us!!!!!

I’m pretty sure I’m not the only one who’s been having a hard time studying during the pandemic. But today one of my seminars got cancelled and i then decided not to go to the voluntary practical class and instead spend the time reading for my internal medicine exam. And a (with the help of some performance enhancing drugs (caffeine)) I managed to get through everything I planned on!
So to reward myself I’m going to go for a walk in the rain, and get some ingredients on the way home to make banana bread!

it’s okay to be tired if even you didn’t do anything to “earn” it. when you’re tired, you’re tired. you don’t need to justify to other people what you “did” to feel run down

What they don't tell you about becoming a doctor: you "learn" how to wash your hands at least once a year. Probably twice.
