CAS Project reflection
The time spent on the basketball court was enjoyable, but also valuable. It is extremely difficult to gather all the people together for these trainings. Therefore, we mastered our organisation skills. Moreover, we have learned from each other during the meetings, as well as we managed to combine theory and practice together. Because we had a great atmosphere, the trainings went smoothly, we had a great time! I hope, that despite the end of the project, we will still manage to meet and train together.

CAS Project- Final

After a long winter break, we finally managed to gather for the final stage of CAS Project. After several trainings on attack, skills and defence we were ready to play the final match. It was quite short because of the weather, but still, I scored 10 times to the basket, which was my record best

CAS experience summary
My CAS experience was demanding but enriching. Writing my reflections on the blog has enabled me to see the positive aspects of my work. Moreover, it created a ritual which prevented my procrastination, because of the regular need for posting.
I have grown emotionally during my voluntary service, which was full of new, completely unmet experiences. Especially when it came to my seven-day visit at L’Arche Foundation, where I took care of people with intellectual disabilities.
My creativity was full of different experiences, however, I can see significant progress in my cooking skills. At the beginning of school I could barely make scrambled eggs, and now I feel confident in the kitchen.
I have to admit, that action was the easiest part for me. I have exercised all my life. However, I have never realised, the through writing reflections from my experiences I would benefit and see my real progress.

Service- Amnesty International

During today’s meeting, two of our colleagues had their presentations on discrimination in different areas. The first was on this problem concerning employment and all the situations related to work and the second about the African countries. It was a perfect summary of what we have learned during our English B lessons.

This time I was lucky to find a tuna steak in my fridge. I fried it on a pan with a little bit of oil on both sides. When the dish was almost ready, I poured teriyaki sauce on top and waited for it to mix with the fish. When it was on the plate, I sprinkled it with a bit of coriander.

Action- Skiing

Today was our last day on the slopes. I got lost during one of the rides so I spent the whole day alone. It was relaxing though. I made progress on my short turns and managed to keep my feet tighter.

Action- Snowboarding

Today I swapped with my friend and practised snowboarding on a small hill for the first time in my life. At first, it was tough, I basically fell over all the time, but after 2 hours I was already able to turn. What an easy sport!

Action- Skiing

Today I rented freestyle skies. We went off track, but firstly we made sure that we were safe. These skies were very light so it was very easy to turn and jump, as well as to adjust speed. Luckily, we went home without any injuries

Today it was way better. I sharped my skies and finally, I was able to turn properly. What an achievement! I also managed to complete a slalom gigant without falling. Throughout the rest of the day, I practised long turns. What a day!

Today was our first day in the Mountains. I admit it was hard. I could barely turn. But the weather was beautiful and this made my day. I wish that tomorrow I will be able to fully enjoy the perfect conditions.

Creativity- Cooking

For today’s breakfast, I made an omelette with mozzarella. My girlfriend helped me with it, I must admit. It was perfect. The recipe is as follows:
Ingredients
2 large free-range eggs
1 small knob of unsalted butter
OPTIONAL: TOMATO & BASIL OMELETTE
2 or 3 sprigs of fresh basil
1 handful of cherry tomatoes
olive oil
mozzarella (5 slices)
For a basic omelette, crack the eggs into a mixing bowl with a pinch of sea salt and black pepper. Beat well with a fork.
Heat a small knob of butter in a small frying pan on a low heat, and once melted and bubbling, add the eggs and move the pan around to spread them out evenly.
When the omelette begins to cook and firm up, but still has a little raw egg on top, sprinkle over the cheese (if using). I sometimes grate mine directly on to the omelette.
Using a spatula, ease around the edges of the omelette, then fold it over in half. When it starts to turn golden brown underneath, remove the pan from the heat and slide the omelette on to a plate.
For a tomato and basil omelette, pick and roughly tear the basil leaves. Chop the tomatoes in half, then add to a hot frying pan with a small knob of butter, a drizzle of oil and a pinch of salt and pepper. Fry and toss around for 1 minute, then turn the heat down to medium and sprinkle over the basil leaves. Add the eggs and move the pan around to spread them out evenly. Continue as for the basic omelette. In the end, add slices of mozzarella on top.

Action- Training at home

Today I had my lessons starting at 12:30, so I woke up earlier and made myself a short power training. I jumped on a rope, 3 times for 3 minutes each, simulating the time of a boxing round. Later, I made a 100 crunches with 1 brake after 50. I ended the training with 30 pull-ups, which I barely made.
