Here are two boys who won't let me be. One is a poet who gets into a lot of fights, the other is an incubus. I did a ridiculous amount of research into Elizabethan culture for this. It was only meant to be a quick sketch but ended up being over a week's work.

This is to celebrate 1 year of beautiful webcomic Keeping Time which is about cute boys, bands, broken hearts and a glorious barkeep. I spun the chaos wheel prompt-o-matic and got the Jane Austen prompt and it was hard. The lads fought me all week. #KeepingTimeOneYear
Seriously, the comic is really cool and you should read it.

This is a succubus called Fantasia and her Hell-hound Boopsie (The Destroyer). Fantasia is not very good at being properly evil.
Just inking at the moment but this one is going quite well

And this is my main OC Razor more recently. All that's changed is that he has more wrinkles.
This was Panda Guy btw

This is my main OC Razor. I have been drawing him since 1987, which is long before I could actually draw at all. Persistence pays off though. The above pic is from around 1990. I daren't show anyone the first attempts.

My final piece for @drawtober and the 'Monster' prompt. The Shagfoal haunts the fens of Lincolnshire, England. Woe betide the lonely traveller! Inspirations was from https://www.caitlingreen.org/2020/11/more-monstrous-landscapes-of-medieval-lincolnshire.html (Lincolnshire has quite a few beasties that drag you into the marshes. I imagine a lot of people went out and were never seen again)

This is deeply personal to me because it is a recreation of something that happened to me when I was very young. I was under 10 years old My family went out for an evening walk on a Sunday. We lived on the North Sea Coast in Lincolnshire that had had lots of RAF bases during the war. As we were leaving the beach to go back to our house I looked back and with my Mind's Eye I saw what looked like the tail of a plane and a man in a flight suit standing next to it. I knew it wasn't really there. At that point I didn't even know what a flight suit was. I just got impressions of something which I interpreted. The moonlight was bright that night. I didn't tell anyone about it until over a decade later when my mum said she thought that several planes had crashed in the area during WW2. I was able to corroborate that with online records later although nothing at the precise place and description of what I 'saw'.
My mum says heard a ghost playing bagpipes at an RAF base when she was a young woman but that's another story...!
The only differences in my picture is that what I 'saw' wasn't a Lancaster - I think it had a tail more like a Wellington, in retrospect. However there was a photo of a Lancaster and crew that was in my family photo box as that was what one of my Great Uncles did in the war, apparently. So I used that photo as a reference for my picture. I think there are more details in my picture than what I 'saw' as my memories are very hazy.
Anyway yay @drawtober as I would never have done this otherwise.

Horror comics vibe for the @drawtober prompt 'Undead'. I was inspired by a spooky reader's experience in the It Happened to Me section of this month's Fortean Times. Go read it.

Ooh I thought this one was going to be really bad but it looks all right when it's small. :D My answer to the 'witch' prompt in @drawtober

I did a traditional vampire for week1 of #drawtober but maybe had more fun with 'shapeshifter'. This is a Selkie woman returning to her seal people. I listened to a lot of folk music whilst drawing this....

I'm not an action comic sort of person but I liked drawing 1970s style flying police car chasing a twocker* on a flying scooter. It's happening in Leeds, UK, which has been partly flattened by an alien spaceship crash....

Because I started drawing my OCs in the 1980s, most of my characters sort of have a 1980s too even though technically they're from the future. This is Katy and her brother Sam as teenagers. She would have been into the late 23rd century version of the Bangles and he would have been into the late 2200s version of the Byrds and Love and various Paisley Underground bands. She went on to become a bossy boots and militia captain. He went on to become a wizard and works for the actual Pied Piper of Hamelin.
I'm not showing my 80s art. I was only a kid and I couldn't draw yet.

I draw stuff. I do nice polite stuff that I share with other people and then there's the comics I don't show anyone. I am going to use this account to share some of the comics artwork. But maybe not the swearing. Anyway, this is my new fave character Freya and her little ginger guy. She pulls a lot of faces, I love her.
