I feel like next December you and all of your friends here will have to swallow your words and anger towards Bucky when he and Sam are the same friends they've been all this time 😂 it's gonna be so fun to witness
If we all make it to next December, please know without a doubt this fandom will still be toxic as fuck, of which your cowardly ass is a perfect example, and the writing from one project to the next will remain inconsistent at best and character assassinating at worst. Both of those facts are what we've been speaking on, but you lack critical thinking skills and a decent reading prescription to see that.
If TPTB choose to gloss over the poorly handled mess that was thunderbolts, that I wouldn't be shocked to find out your sorry ass loved, then it would just be more bad writing.
Nothing they do with doomsday will erase the horrible things this fandom has said about poc characters and to BIPOC fans. Nor will it overwrite their poor decisions in trying to make that failure of a group the Avengers.
It dayum sure won't erase the floptastic fact that tbolts was a cinematic failure.
So, enjoy holding onto your petty spite, I guess. Loser.

The thunderbolts* need to just be called Thunderbolts ffs!! Like come on! You mean to tell me that Sam Wilson doesn't deserve to make the new Avengers??? THE Captain America? The guy who fought to have his rightful mantel and has been asked to create them should just let his old friend (who btw is a shit friend for not calling Valentina out and aresting her, love Bucky but that was not the move) take the name of the Avengers and create a team of his own which includes the guy who (for his own reasons) didn't let Sam be CA???
The Avengers are Sam's team, The Thunderbolts are another, I don't understand how any of them (except Alexei) agreed to this, especially to working with Valentina

a reminder that Ironheart comes out this week on the 24th. Once again, the racists and sexist fans are still sending hate towards the show. Please go out and send some love and support for the show as well as for the cast, especially Dominique Thorne

Thinking about my sambucky allcaps pacrim au again. Thinking about the first time Sam and Bucky go into the drift together. Thinking about Sam reliving Bucky's crash into the icy waters. Thinking about bucky reliving Sam feeling the fire from the fight that lost him Riley. Thinking about juxtaposition and balance. About how the drift really finds you your soulmate.

Comparing two interviews about that Thunderbolts ending
I’ve been having a little think based on the two interviews we’ve gotten regarding the ending of Thunderbolts. More recently, Julia Louis-Dreyfus says that the ending, where the Thunderbolts get named the “New Avengers”, had been planned years ago when she first came on for Falcon and the Winter Soldier. She adds that they always knew that this would be a controversial decision, during which she cites the ending montage of in-universe articles having mixed reactions to the announcement.
Yet we also got an earlier interview with writer Jake Schreier where he also discusses the ending. He says that he was surprised by the test audience’s reaction, they were hesitant to clap or cheer and seemed more confused by the ending. He admitted to expecting an overwhelmingly enthusiastic response. The audience’s reaction led to the addition of the ending montage. So it was, according to the writer, not an intended part of the movie from the beginning.
So these two statements are clearly not lining up, they can’t both be true. This decision to make these characters the “New Avengers” was either planned to spark controversy years ago, or it was supposed to be a unanimously approved decision that turned out to be controversial so they had to slap on a montage to make it look intentional. I think Julia Louis-Dreyfus is telling the truth about this twist being planned years in advance because, while disappointing, it does follow the pattern of the MCU where they plan big moments years ahead of time. But I think overall the story is closer to Shreier’s depiction: the decision to make this team the “New Avengers” may have been planned far in advance, but everyone involved thought it wouldn’t be a controversial ending. So when it didn’t screen well, they had to scramble and add that montage in order to act like it was their intention all along for people to have a mixed response. And interviews like the one with Julia Louis-Dreyfus is a kind of preemptive damage control where she’s basically lying by saying it was the plan all along.
And I do think that damage control is the right word here. Despite the movie getting overwhelmingly positive reviews, it bombed in theaters. And this isn’t some overlooked indie project, it's a Marvel movie. It tanked at the box office for a reason, and as time goes on I think more people will come to realize that it is because the film is rife with issues. It's not a quality product, and more than that it damages long-standing characters, worldbuilding, and themes that many other writers and directors have put hard work into maintaining. This movie has alienated a good portion of the fanbase who are now having to deal with the most vile, racist harassment in recent memory.
I think that eventually there will be some in-depth criticism of this movie from a popular YouTube channel or review site. Or once it's out on streaming there will be more online criticisms from people who didn’t bother to watch it in theaters, or from people who had a good first impression in theaters but see the flaws more clearly upon rewatching. And when that happens, this more recent interview can be cited to act like this was what they wanted all along. Disney can go “Oh, well we just wanted to spark a conversation!” or some crap. But the evidence is there, the stories do not align, this was not planned from the start. This was a bad decision that threw people and characters under the bus for a creatively bankrupt idea that did not pay off.

ya'll know what's a very very silly and unserious thought that's been in my mind lately? even villains or bad guys prefer to be fought by sam
like imagine some big bad villain of the day gets to ruin the day and this new avengers group thing comes and tries to stop them and they go "wait, where's captain america?"
"space," bucky answers (bc of course he keeps track of where sam is)
"what? my contact said he's done on that mission and is supposed to be back today! that's why i attacked today! why is he not here?!" and the villain is so angry and is posing as if to go back ruining things again
the team readies to defend and fight back but the villain just sighs. theyre shoulder slumped.
"guess we'll come back another day," the villain says. "enough of that! c'mon! captain america's not coming today!" they addressed their lackeys.
and some of the lackeys go "what? oh man, i was so ready to fight captain america. did you know he's good in hand to hand combat?" and the other one goes "of course i know that! why did you think i specifically asked to be here? for the chance to fight him, duh!" and another goes "bummer, i was gonna ask for his signature when he beats us," with a pout.
"you," the villain points at bucky, "let me know when the captain's back in town."
and the villain is trudging away, tails between legs, not because they lost a fight but because captain america is not there to fight them.
-
valentina grabs the opportunity and says the new avengers saved the day and the villain gets so angry somehow, and actually makes a scene just to say, their group only sees captain america's avengers worthy of their efforts in fighting, that they couldn't be bothered to take this new wannabe team seriously and waste energy and resources.
-
somehow, that lessens any villain attacks cz mostly sam is away for space missions and so no villain tries to cause any bad things while captain america and his avengers is away.

So, I've been doing a bit of yoga every now and then to help with my flexibility
What I should have been doing is finding ways to blame sam for walkers actions. That'll have me bending over backwards in no time
