Man, I don’t even know when the last time I opened New Leaf was! Will be going to the islands shortly, very curious how it’ll be.

A little birdie told me New Leaf is back online… maybe I’ll check out the islands tonight?

It has came to my attention (better late than never) that New Leaf’s online is finally in the beta stages on Pretendo… honestly, I’m psyched. Will be awesome to bring it back for sure… I’ll be waiting until it’s public to return to the islands and hopefully re-visit some old friends!

Back in the Miiverse days there was a user named Coco who disliked your trolling and always tried starting fights with you. At the time I was a defender of her but now I must confess that over time I learned the truth about her and you were right about her not being the nice girl she painted herself as

I vaguely remember her. Miiverse in general was crazy times! :P

Yo, I think you know the name Jias, he said you were one of his "best friends" and it was a part of his little "intro" in the AC:NL community which shortly became a copy pasta. Were you actually his best friend or was he just some noob who fantasized you? If you were his friend, were you aware of his actions that he did this year/last year? I forget when you quit, but I am asking for insight if you ever knew him like that. He got exposed a couple months ago for being a pedophile by the way.

Surprisingly, I’ve been waiting for this to become an “official” ask as I’d love to clear up some confusion about the whole Jias situation.

I’m aware of him claiming I’m his “best friend”. I’ve also seen the whole “I’m Jeffrey Fernandez, the number one hacker” thing on Discord (blah blah).

But to summarize it, I’ve always thought it was funny as for ages I didn’t even know him. Don’t get me wrong… I’d run into him on the islands here and there, but 9 times out of 10 I’d error; not because I had anything against him, but rather the fact I errored on anybody and hackers would usually get in the middle of my trolling.

I believe at the time it was more of an envy thing if anything. I’ve always thought it was weird, and honestly a bit creepy as I’ve never directly talked or messaged him. The sole reason why I never really let it bothered me is I couldn’t care less what he said. If anything it seemed a bit… desperate? (If that’s the proper word). I’ve always trolled alone (roughly since New Leaf started) so he came out of nowhere.

I’ve trolled on New Leaf for a LONG time. Pretty much beginning to end of New Leaf’s lifespan, off and on. I honestly couldn’t tell you when he started going to the islands, if he’s always been a hacker, etc. I know zero about him and keep/kept to myself in the community. *shrugs*

I know about 2-3 years ago (give or take) there was discussion if we were the same person or my “friendship status” with him but honestly, again, I’ve never really addressed it as I’m usually busy with in real life things. I can assure you though we are two different people.

About 6 months ago he did send me an ask on here about his new “Jiatendo” thing he’s making. I’ve never really had anything AGAINST him up to this point, so I DID respond and join his discord on it. Couldn’t tell you how it’s going though. I don’t check my discord or most of my gaming/Animal Crossing related socials a ton.

As for why I joined, it was more curiosity and to humor myself if anything. I have no idea about the legitimacy of his programming claims but I’m a “join and see what happens” sort of person.

THAT BEING SAID/TL;DR:

I haven’t heard any of these claims. I’ve only messaged him personally (messaged him back) about “Jiatendo” but I haven’t outside of any other means. I am curious about this though and am open ears for sure since honestly I’ve heard more about him than he’s probably even heard about me. If you have a Tumblr, feel free to direct message me about it. Otherwise, send me more asks as anon and I’ll read them. Let me know if you want me to post them or not.

Thank you for letting me know and letting me be aware, because that’s creepy as hell if the claims are true.

I’m also glad to *hopefully* clear some stuff up in the community about how I “know him” (I say that loosely) as it’s an excellent question, honestly.

(Edit: added some images from the ACNL Vapecord plugin’s discord. It’s honestly amusing to me how far rumors go as I’ve never cloned Jeffrey/Jias (I actually forgot he seemed to go by multiple names? Not sure if he still does) and just to come out on record in 2021 I attempted to clear the air a bit on various things, including Jias.)

(Edit no. 2: I did skim through more recent messages (last 5 or so months, give or take) on the Vapecord discord. I now do see other various members discussing him being exposed etc, which I was not aware of. I would like to make it clear I don’t check these socials as much as I probably should, so I live under a rock when it comes to the state and affairs of the ACC right now/recent. I’m very curious about all that’s happened, though.)

A long awaited post…

I’ll start off by saying… honestly, I didn’t know how I was going to type this up. I’ve been thinking of when a good time to type would be, but then I realized there’s probably no good time so I suppose that’s today.

With the 3ds Wi-Fi closing down in 4 days, I’ve just been reflecting on my time here in the Animal Crossing community, Tumblr, and trolling. Do I regret what I’ve done? Absolutely not. Am I ever going to regret it? No.

I started my original Tumblr (mitch-crossing, later to be stcyadams) in 2013 to mainly post my Animal Crossing: New Leaf trolling and other things I did in Roanoke and Woodside. I started off by playing games with people on the island, such as hangman or trivia. If they answered the questions wrong, I cut down the trees. I also set a tour so they’d just inevitably be stuck at the island unless I sat down. Since Nintendo added the “leave directly through the hut” button, my method of trolling was basically patched.

I’ve come and I’ve gone throughout the years, thinking I’d quit trolling… and then came back once more people started to mod their 3DS consoles, which I ended up partaking in. This made it easier for me to troll without the old method of trapping with a tour.

It’s been 10 years or so since I’ve started my blog and joined the New Leaf community. Time flies, it’s no joke. I’ve met many friends and equally infamy throughout my time here, and I will forever hold it dear to me.

Anyways, this post is for memories sake. I’m making this post as an homage to my blog and my time on New Leaf. I might go to the islands a few times before Wi-Fi being shut down completely, but if I can’t make it before it shuts down, I thank everyone who’s been with me throught these years. It’s been a wild ride!

Finally hanging up the gloves for real. I’ll continue playing on New Horizons, but we’ll see what happens with the blog going forwards.

Time to hang up the gloves (for real this time). Will miss Club Tortimer, might visit a bit eventually as a final goodbye. To new chapters, though!

Now if New Horizons would bring back Club Tortimer, that’d be great :/
