I feel so bad for going silent for a few days guys I feel like my posts are dropping in quality and I don't even feel like me at times like I feel like my personality shifts every now and then and I wish I could have the personality I had when I started posting on jiraiblr but I'm not sure if he exists anymore and I'm scared you will all leave every time I change because thats always what happens and how I always lose friends

I don't fw you if you invalidate someone's self-diagnosis when you haven't talked to them about their experiences ESPECIALLY people who were denied professional help / can't afford it / professional help isn't an solid option currently for them.

Yes I know well there are people who fake disorders for attention and / or they want others to think they're "unique" and "special"- it's totally reasonable to bash those people who do that as they make a mockery of actual people who are mentally ill.

But for a lot of people who self-diagnose, it was out of necessity, not convenience. I have spent literal years observing and recognizing my patterns before even daring to put a label on myself. Labels and terms helped me research and find out more about myself and even if it may not actually be the disorder itself when I finally get myself diagnosed by a trained professional- it still helped me figure out my behavioural patterns and recognition about myself, thus will contribute to making the actual diagnosis much smoother and easier by being self-aware in the beginning.
