Development and Discussion on Our Path to Sustainable Fishing Solutions
Blog 4 - March 8, 2024

This week was a big turning point in our ongoing project to create portable thermoelectric iceboxes since we asked our teacher for advice and submitted our progress report. The insightful input we received helped us navigate the complex world of sustainable solutions for small-scale fishers and highlighted the significance of continuing to interact with important stakeholders.
The consultation session was an important opportunity for introspection and improvement, highlighting the need for a more thorough comprehension of the difficulties experienced by fish sellers, customers, and fishermen. By highlighting the crucial function of direct interaction through interviews to gain deeper insights into the requirements and preferences of our target audience, our teacher's observations highlighted areas where our approach may be better.
Equipped with a fresh sense of direction and determination, we're determined to step up the number of interviews we do with fishermen, fish vendors, and consumers. These exchanges are essential for both co-creating solutions that meet the needs and goals of the people we aim to assist, as well as for verifying our theories.
Our focus remains unwavering on establishing meaningful connections and fostering a sense of shared ownership among all stakeholders. We seek to bring together various viewpoints into a cogent story that guides the creation of creative and long-lasting solutions for the fishing community by active listening, empathy, and teamwork.
Finally, we would like to say that the progress report and consultation session have given our project to create portable thermoelectric iceboxes new life and purpose. We are getting closer to realizing our common goal of empowering small-scale fishermen and encouraging environmental stewardship in the fishing sector with every interview. We set out on a path of self-discovery, resiliency, and group action together, driven by the unyielding will to bring about positive change in the world.

Enhancing Fisheries: A Technopreneurship Journey of Creativity and Cooperation
Blog 3 - March 3, 2024

We recently engaged in a group exercise called Game 3 where we collaborated to envision a more positive future. Our main goal was to assist small-scale fishermen who cannot afford refrigeration and hence struggle to keep their catch fresh. We devised solar-powered iceboxes to help preserve fish without using styrofoam, which is bad for the environment.
We conducted interviews with fish vendors, customers, and fishermen throughout our activities to better understand their needs. We also learned that a lot of fisherman lose money because they can't keep their fish fresh for very long. We learned from our interviewees how crucial it is to build larger, more durable iceboxes in order to accommodate more fish.
We discovered from our conversations that maintaining fresh seafood is only a small portion of the issue. Additionally, we must guarantee that the fish maintain their coldness from the time of capture until they are sold. Speaking with fish vendors revealed to us that they can be valuable collaborators in informing consumers about our solution.
When we reflect on our work, we recognize that we must continue to pay attention to the people we are attempting to assist. In order to ensure that our ideas become practical solutions, we also need to collaborate closely. Our objective is to continuously develop and look for methods to improve the lives of fishermen and all those associated with the fishing business.

Sowing Seeds of Perspective: Reevaluating My Opinion on Sustainable Farming
Blog 2 - February 24, 2024
Tumblr media
We just conducted a Technopreneurship group exercise called Game 2 where we discussed sustainable agriculture as a vital component of global development. We had conversations about how farming methods could be revolutionized by technology to become more ecologically friendly. We looked into ideas like vertical farming, which maximizes crop yield while using the least amount of water and land. We also looked into how sensors and robotics may be used to improve agricultural practices and lessen their environmental impact.
During our talks, we broke down many aspects of sustainable farming, including product, price, and process, using the 7Ps framework. We were able to ask important questions and have a greater understanding of the prospects and problems in the field of sustainable agriculture thanks to this methodical approach. We also took part in the fascinating "Blind Side" activity, which helped us to identify the knowledge and ignorance we had regarding sustainable agriculture and highlighted areas that needed more research and education.
As we considered our combined experiences, we realized how important technology is to the advancement of sustainable agriculture techniques. We did, however, also recognize the field's intrinsic complexity and the constant need for research and innovation. Our group's goal going ahead is to promote even more cooperation and idea sharing since we know that by always learning and growing, we can make a significant contribution to the development of sustainable agriculture.
Finally, our exploration of Game 2 highlights the value of transdisciplinary communication and hands-on learning in tackling urgent global issues. We hope to open up new doors in sustainable agriculture by utilizing technology and fostering an attitude of inquiry, opening the door to a more resilient and just future for everybody.

Ensure Access to Affordable, Reliable, and Sustainable Energy for All
Blog 1 - February 16, 2024

---------------------------------------------------------------------------
On February 13, 2024, during our first meeting, we watched a quick video that covered business and marketing. I learned from viewing the video that using science and technology to launch a business is called technopreneurship, and it's quite advantageous. This is a result of how technology connects people and increases the marketability of enterprises.
We decided on SDG 7, which is to guarantee that everyone has access to modern, affordable, dependable, and sustainable energy. We chose this subject because, as we all know, electricity is a basic necessity for daily living and because many people now live without it throughout the world.
Examining the global goals and objectives, in particular SDG 7, we discover that our thesis topic—"Sustainable Energy through Portable Savonius Hydro Kinetic Turbines"—coincides with them. The application of hydraulic energy—which is renewable—is the main topic of our thesis. Our thesis is to be conducted in Libona, Bukidnon, a remote place with extremely difficult access to electricity. As a result, using natural resources, power is accessible to all. The issue, though, is that certain nations are not investing enough in research and innovation or have the requisite equipment, which prevents this progress.
