Can you explain to me more about how egyptian deities can merge?
Anything I can give you about syncretization is gonna be almost entirely UPG and from my own experiences. The most I can really give you from a historical standpoint is that many NTRW were able to merge in antiquity and create a third entity (such as Amun, Ra, and Amun-Ra all being separate entities). I’m not entirely sure why the Egyptians decided to have this element in their religious practices, but suffice to say it’s there.
As to how this works? That’s all going to come from first hand experiences on the astral.
Bodies and people aren’t really physical in nature over there (in most of the planes I frequent). You can have a solid looking body, but that body can often contain many other layers and “stuff” that you might not see on the surface. Due to how things are over there, you can store people, worlds, and all sorts of things inside of you. So it’s very easy for you to take another entity (or entities) into yourself, to have a merged form of both of you that exists for however long you stay merged together. It’s also possible to cleave parts of yourself off, and that those cleaved parts can become their own sentient, individual beings. It’s also possible for two entities to create a third entity through similar cleaving means.
Think of it like playdough or taffy. You can easily cut the taffy into pieces… but you can just as easily moosh them back together into one big piece of taffy. It’s often like that Over There as well. People can split and merge and come apart and come together… all the time. And it’s largely because things aren’t as physical in nature over there like it is here on earth.
Hopefully that sorta answers the question >.>;;;;

Do you have any good resources about syncretism of the gods? The idea that Hethert is a Netjer, and Nut is a Netjer, but Hethert-Nut is also a Netjer confuses me. Do they just smush together into one person? Are all three of them in existence at the same time? The logistics of it are confusing to me and I can't find any good posts on it or anything.
yo allthoseotherworlds
I don’t have any formal posts on syncretization yet. I’ve been mulling on writing one, but I haven’t actually done it yet. The best source that comes to mind is probably going to be my syncretization tag.
Technically, they would smoosh together into a singular being, yes. But not necessarily permanently. When your body is not physical, it’s really easy to suck people into you, pull people out of you, and merge and un-merge whenever you want.
Where I come from Over There, this is easiest for people who are heavily bonded together. Bonding essentially takes two people (or more) and makes them one. It’s like sharing a blood stream, if you will. And when you’re this connected, it’s really easy to share brain waves, thoughts, sensations, etc. It’s entirely possible to jump into your bond mate, and look through their eyes, hear what they’re thinking, etc. So from that frame of reference, I personally believe that the NTRW are all this way- connected and close. And I think that’s why they can merge together and pull apart without a lot of problems. I also think this is why ma’at is super important- because if one of the NTRW falls out of balance, it will slowly drag the entire pantheon out of balance because that’s how bonds work.
So when you merge together for a while, sometimes you’re just one mixed being, and the other two people that merged together are contained within the merged being. Other times, you’ll give a part of yourself to another entity, and they will consume that piece, and you’ll be yourself, with a merged entity standing in front of you. And sometimes you’ll each take a part of yourself, and merge it together, and there will be three beings standing there- the two original beings, with the one merged being.
Sooooo it can be all of the above. And when you’re done with the merging, you can either A. suck it back up inside of the people who merged together until you need to merge again, leaving you with only the two original un-merged people. or B. you can let the merged entity live long enough that they can become their own sentient being that can sustain itself on its own, leaving you with the two original people and the merged being. Orrrr you could technically merge together and two people would become one… until you wanted to separate again, if you ever wanted to separate.
I know that satsekhem has equated syncretization to Power Rangers and their Megazord, and in a way it is like that. Various separate entities come together to become a bigger, more potent being, and when they are done, they can pull apart. Its just that in the Unseen, you can be in the Megazord and out of the Megazord all at the same time. And technically you could let the Megazord gain enough potency to live outside of you for forever if you wanted.
So, um, I don’t know if that actually clarified anything. My brain is really soupy today, so I don’t feel like I’m making a lot of sense. Hopefully the tag will help if this just made things worse >.>;;;;;;;;

Subtle Bast Worship
Inspired by @wanderingskemetic and @khaire-traveler whose posts can respectively be found here and here!
Learn about cats. Anatomy, behavior (Especially their body language! Respect their boundaries), care, their origins, how people around the world see them, etc.
Keep your home clean. Particularly when you are disinfecting and killing the germs that would otherwise make you sick/allergic
Decorate your home! Make it feel welcoming for yourself and others
Play music, especially music that makes you want to move around
Place and enforce your boundaries. Recognize you deserve to be respected too
Sit outside on a clear day (Within reason. Wear sunscreen and don't overheat)
Dedicate your perfumes and scented lotions to her
Give yourself time to relax and rest. No shame in a cat nap
Show your appreciation to mothers of the world
Love your family and friends fiercely, unapologetically
Be compassionate but unwavering in your conviction to Ma'at. Basically be nice and do what's right for your community and yourself
Wear cat jewelry, accessories, patterns— whichever fits your style!
Wear gold jewelry
Keep your cats happy and healthy if you own any. Also support shelters in any capacity you can!
Look into what sort of health issues can occur surrounding the home and/or childbirth both for humans and cats. Raise awareness to keep other people and their cats safe and educated
Celebrate the good times! Spend time with your loved ones, go out for food, dance in your room, play music, drink (If you can or want to. Also keep it within reason, I know her festivals went crazy but you should be taking care of your body too!). Or you can even quietly acknowledge your joys in a less boisterous manner if you wish
Cozy up as it gets cold. Really indulge in it, your home is your space to be able to feel this comfortable and safe
Use comforting scents in your home. Floral, fresh laundry, sweets, warm spices. and it can be incense, candles, oils, or anything else (Please research what is safe for pets. Tea tree oil, lily flowers, and eucalyptus are lethal to cats)
When you drink your tea or hot drink of choice, quietly dedicate the enjoyment to Her
Tap into your playful side. Don't be embarrassed to enjoy things openly just because of your age!
Be the best nurturer you can be. You may or may not be a parent nor take care of any kids, but maybe you have pets, a garden, work in the medical field, work in social services, work in spiritual healing, or you assist your community in a way that requires lots of care and quality attention. If nothing else, be a nurturer to yourself

i like viewing the misce interdynamic stuff as like. biologically, beta/omega afab bodies dont look that different. biological *instinct* wise tho they are very different
fr me, omega is like. socially submissive, small group-oriented (pack, chosen or otherwise - does not Have to b a traditional family unit), "protect me!" type.
meanwhile beta is ... socially chaotic, self-oriented, "i can take care of myself" type. much more independent, free-willed, comes and goes as they please.
(+ to complete the trio, i think of alphas as socially dominant "let me protect you!" types, providers and guardians of larger groups of people or territories)
if u wanna hogwarts house it, id generally align hufflepuff or slytherin ideals to omegas, slytherin or ravenclaw or gryffindor to betas, and gryffindors or hufflepuffs to alphas
and in sortinghatchats terms:
alpha: lion or badger primaries
beta: bird or lion or snake primaries
omega: badger or snake primaries
^ obvi w more nuance from person to person, im doing very broad strokes here based purely on vibes and what i think the purest ideal of each would be. tbh i think its also interesting to look at from a cultural pov
