Marichat to me is the best ship in the love square cause it's the personas they both feel more comfortable in

Adrien has a never experienced before feeling of freedom, both to be himself and do whatever he pleases. So he can act careless without consequences as chat noir

Marinette on the other hand, feels much more at ease as herself, cause as much as she loves being ladybug, she has this constant pressure on her to be as perfect as ever so shes much more relaxed as Marinette

That's why marichat works so well, they're so comfortable with each other even not being the "first" love for both of them, they're just comfortable in each other's presence and I love it
