i have so many thoughts about stella's reboot transformation, but the one thing that bothers me the most is her bangs. i know i should be happy that they even gave her bangs, and i know her bangs are such a minor detail in the transformation as a whole, but i just find them so jarring
#prev tags#’it’s like someone cut them with dull scissors using their non-dominant hand’#LITERALLY#THANK YOU#also I agree; the first half of the transformation sequence is rly cool and has lots of great elements

tbh I really hate Flora’s new transformation, for a lot of reasons, but the biggest one is- her actual transformation is only about five seconds long. the rest of the runtime is literally just padding!! her entire outfit appears in a single burst, and it’s heavily obscured.
a transformation sequence should give the audience time to admire the details of the outfit. why isn’t there a shot where the camera follows the flowers on her bodice blooming into being? why isn’t there a shot where we get to focus on her hair? the only accessory that gets its own shot is one (1) shoe, and the camera pans so quickly we can barely even see it. you’d achieve the same effect with a single burst of light and save yourself the screentime
also. what’s with the focus on the wind?

may have said this before in one way or another, but it continues to baffle me how largely popularized it is that tecna lacks emotions or struggles to express them. she does have emotions, and she has a lot of them. to the point that the sheer intensity of them sometimes catches her off guard or makes her feel embarrassed. the thing she sometimes (especially at the beginning of the show) struggles with is managing and communicating her emotions in a way that's socially acceptable, not displaying them. there is a difference.
#and same applies to riven#except he doesn't get any of the sympathy or kindness#but i won't get into that here#winx club#winx#winx tecna#liv speaks
